Team Canada Schedule Set For U19 Worlds

Team Canada Schedule Set For U19 Worlds
OTTAWA, ON, June 11, 2015 - In just six weeks Team Canada's U19 Women's Field team will land in Scotland ready to take
on the world.
The team, a talented, athletic and determined group of 18 players was selected in January. Setting their sights early on
gold, the team, supported by a strong coaching and management staff, will be ready come game time to take on any and all
opponents. Team Canada will open up their World Championship journey against long-time rival and current world
champions, the United States on July 23 in their first round-robin game.
In May, Head Coach Scott Teeter and his coaching staff had a great opportunity to bring the team together to take on Team
USA in an exhibition game. "We have one goal: to win the world championship. The toughest thing about these
tournaments is getting everyone on your team on the same page in a short amount of time; having the opportunity to get
the team together and compete against the current World champions gave us valuable insight to how our team is coming
together. Despite the loss against the USA in a recent exhibition game, it will allow us to adjust and puts us in the position
to peak on the world stage," continued Teeter.
Team Canada and the Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) would like to thank the following sponsors for their donations in
making the exhibition game possible for the U-19 Canadian National Team:
Tim Hortons
The Pioneer Group
Telus
Aird & Berlis
Nova Steel
Firstbrook Insurance Group
Westbury International
