U19 Team Canada Women`s Field Set To Take On Team USA in

Canada to Face US in Lead Up to Worlds
OTTAWA, ON, May 22, 2015 - With final team preparations underway and less than two months until the opening of the
2015 FIL Rathbones Women's U-19 World Championship, Team Canada is set to take the field in an exhibition game against
Team USA this weekend.
The game will take place on Saturday (May 23) at 5 p.m. at Lehigh University’s stadium field in Bethlehem, Pa. The game is
set to begin immediately following the conclusion of day one play of US Lacrosse's Women’s National Tournament.
Head Coach Scott Teeter named Team Canada's final 18-player roster in January. He and the rest of the Team Canada
coaching staff know how valuable this weekend's game will be for the team. "This is the first time we will see our team on
the field together since our last selection camp," said coach Teeter. "Each of our 18 athletes has spent the past few months
training and competing at their respective home clubs, NCAA schools and high school programs, now we get to put it
altogether and really start bringing our system and plan together as a team. We (the entire coaching staff) are grateful for
the chance to have Team Canada together to create the cohesive team bond we'll bring with us to Worlds."
All of this would not be possible without the financial support of some great supporters of our athletes and of the game.
"We'd truly like to thank the Team Canada sponsors who have stepped forward to make this exhibition game possible," said
CLA's National Team Director for Women's Field, Gary Gait. "Any opportunity you have to face the defending world
champions before going to the Worlds is beneficial - a game like this is a crucial part of our future success." continued Gait.
Team Canada and the Canadian Lacrosse Association would like to thank the following sponsors for their donations in
making this game possible for the U-19 Canadian National Team:
Tim Hortons
The Pioneer Group
Telus
Aird & Berlis
Nova Steel
Firstbrook Insurance Group
