The Canadian Lacrosse Association and Manitoba Lacrosse have instituted minimum-coaching standards
for all disciplines in lacrosse. Coaches must obtain the “minimum standard” that is required for the age
group they will be coaching. All box coaches (Head and Assistant) who will be coaching Tyke, Novice and
Pee Wee must obtain the Community Development level.
All coaches (Head and Assistants) participating in MLA sanctioned programs (Red River Lacrosse
Association, Thompson Lacrosse, High School Field Lacrosse, Provincial Box and Field programs) must be
registered members of the MLA. Coaches who are not certified at their required minimum standard and
who are not paid MLA members are not eligible to be on the bench.
To register for one of these clinics and for additional information please contact the MLA office at 204925-5684 or e-mail [email protected]
Thank you.
