School Holidays
How fast this term has flown! The holidays
commence next week. Our final day for the term
is Thursday 2nd April
Principal’s Message:
Covered Walkway Update:
I have been advised that the current completion
date for the entire project will be the end of
April. The project is entering the final stages of
construction. The Toilet block has been
completed, with now only the walkway and back
stairs to be done.
Mrs Butler’s class will not be relocating back to
her normal room until all work has been
completed and the site has been handed back to
the school.
Easter Raffle
Thank you to the many parents who have
donated Easter eggs and requested extra books
of tickets for our raffle. We are still seeking
donations of Easter eggs to fill out the prize
baskets. The raffle will be drawn on our final
parade on Thursday 2nd April.
School Sport
Softball
The school’s softball team was defeated by
Greenlands State School last Friday by 37-16.
However, playing our make-up game last
Tuesday, against the same school, Applethorpe
managed to turn the tables and defeated
Greenlands 23-20 in a very exciting game.
The team will play our last make-up game against
Ballandean tomorrow at Ballandean. Transport
will be required for this match to leave the school
at 12:30pm. Please advise if you can assist.
Zone Trials
Zone trials are being held today and next Tuesday
for Netball and Soccer. A number of students will
be trialling for inclusion in the Zone team to
contest the Regional Trials next term.

Regional Soccer Trials
The Darling Downs Regional Soccer trials will be
held in Stanthorpe on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th
May. The P&C will be running the canteen on
both days as a fund raising activity for the school.
They will require parental assistance to do this
effectively
Funds raised will go towards the Yr. 5/6 school
excursion in August and our two Behaviour
reward days
Staff News
The school welcomes back Mrs Gleeson from her
holiday overseas and we also thank Matthew for
filling in so capably during her absence.
Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Bradford both attended an
In-service seminar yesterday at Stanthorpe SHS.
