A BKO-certificate will be earned if a candidate has finalized with success: • • • • The three basic courses of the BKO programme One optional course The final assignment The interview with the evaluation committee • Investment: 160 hours | 3 The aim of the project BKO-IO We need to determine if and to what extent each academic staff member meets the didactic competencies of the BKO-programme A staff member • Owns a BKO- or other related didactic certificate • Fullfills the didactic competencies based on (proof of) experiences: • Does not fullfill (all) the didactic competencies. • He/she is obliged to follow (part of) the BKO-programme | 4 The target group Academic staff member: • Permanent contract (including Tenure Track) • With the UFO-profile: HL, UHD, UD, Teacher, O&O (only if being a teacher) • Appointment > 0,2 fte • Age: < 60 years | 5 Our procedure Step 1 Fill in the Education Portfolio IDE. 4 - elements: Curriculum Vitae in prescribed format Suggestion of 4/5 names for peer feedback Statement of your own Teaching Philosophy Self-evaluation (supported by proof) of the five didactic competence areas. Estimated investment: 8 – 12 hours | 6 Our procedure Step 2 4 review committees, each composing of: • A coordinator of one of the four educational programmes (Ba, Ma-DfI, Ma-SPD, Ma-IPD) • A didactic expert The review committee formulates to what degree a staff members didactic competencies are BKO-comparable. | 7 Our procedure Step 3 Based on the evaluation of the review committee, the project group formulates a proposed decision: yes, or no to follow (part of) BKO-course. This will be communicated to the staff member involved and his/her manager.
