Besonders spannend ist das Experimentieren auf der Grenze zwischen privatem und öffentlichem Raum. Es geht eben nicht nur um Repräsentation in einem formalen Sinn. Ethische und moralische Werte fließen mit ein, auch religiöse Zugehörigkeit, Fragen der Gemeinsamkeit, Konfliktfähigkeit, Verantwortung, Liebe und Toleranz werden über die Familie vermittelt. Über Generationen hinweg wird eine Familiengeschichte getragen, die manchmal zelebriert wird, manchmal nur zu erahnen ist und manchmal auch bewusst abgeschnitten wurde.
