Go to www.the-chest.org.uk
Click Suppliers Area

Register Free
Take note of the message displayed then

Complete the requested details and click

Select the appropriate categories for your
organisation.
Clicking on the blue number will open
sub-categories
Click Select Categories then Finish
Choose the areas from which you
would like to receive notifications
Click Next
Read and agree to the Terms & Conditions – Click
view to read
Click Next
Check the information displayed is correct
Information can be edited by clicking
Click Submit
Registration is now complete, you will receive two
emails one containing your username the other
containing your password (you will be asked to
change your password once you login for the first
time)
Searching for Opportunities
This is your home page. Here you will find the latest
available opportunities, guidance notes and ‘My
Opportunities’
To see more opportunities click Search
From here you can set different search criteria…
By Organisation
This can be set to all or a specific Authority
By Category
Click Change Category
Here categories can be selected by checking the
relevant boxes and clicking Select Categories
For Sub-categories click on the blue number
Click an opportunity to view
Here you may view all the information for the
opportunity and any attachments
Click Register Interest to express your interest and
receive the RFQ/PQQ/ITT documentation
Your interest has been expressed and you will
receive emails to confirm and when documentation is
released

Invitation to Tender via The Chest
Locate Tender in ‘My Opportunities’
Click onto PQQ/ITT
Click View PQQ to view documents
Information and documents are available here
Click each document to view
To submit a question click Question & Answer
Enter a subject and question ensuring not to identify yourself or
your company
To respond click response wizard, entering requested details
and clicking Next to continue to the next step
To add attachments (e.g. completed PQQ document) click Add
on step 2 of your response
Click Browse then locate the file you wish to upload, click Open
Repeat as required. To remove a document click the . Click
Next to move on – ensure that you have allowed time to upload all
your documents, larger documents will take longer as will uploading
during times of day when internet traffic is higher (i.e. around
midday)
Complete Terms and Conditions step and click Next
Click Submit Response
Confirm by clicking Submit Response
You will then be shown a summary of your submitted
response
You may submit multiple versions up until the
deadline, anything submitted after the deadline will
not be considered
Managing Your Account
From the My Opportunities click Update to update
your details
From this screen you will be able to:
 Change your password
 Change User/Contact Details
 Change Company Details
 Create New Accounts
To change your password click Change Password,
Enter your current password then enter your new
password in the following two boxes
To edit the user/contact details click on the users
name.
To add a new Contact click
in the Contacts
section
Enter the required details and select an address
Click save to create user
To create a new address click
section
Enter details and click save
in the Addresses
To create a new user account click
Accounts section
in the User
Confirm the creation of a new account by clicking
add
The new account now needs assigning to a contact,
click on the username of the account you wish to
assign
Select the contact you wish to assign and click save,
the new user will receive a login and password by
email
