WELCOME TO NEW STAFF WHO WILL JOIN US NEXT YEAR: Mrs. Micallef, Mr. Principato and Miss Kydd. The new staff will be spending time throughout the school to get to know us. I am sure we will all make them feel welcome. Next Tuesday, during orientation, students will meet their new teacher for 2011. PROGRESS FOLDERS: Each student will bring home their Red Progress Folder today. This is a sample of work achieved over term 4. Please look through and discuss with your child. ALL folders are to be returned to school containing all work. Teachers will send home work samples at a later time. Folders to be returned by Wednesday 8th December. Written Reports will be sent home next Friday 10th December in envelope. CHRISTMAS CARDS: Children are asked to distribute Christmas Cards in the last week of school ONLY (13th Dec – 15th Dec). SCIENCE EXPO IN GRADE 4 AND SPACE DAY IN GRADE 5 – SEE ATTACHED. CHRISTMAS HAMPERS : Please Do not Forget Those in Our Community who need our generosity during this Christmas Festive Time. Help make it a happy time for others who are facing difficult times. Each family is asked to present a hamper which will be distributed to Parish families by Fr. O’Reilly. (EG. food, cleaning products, Christmas cakes, bathroom items or a combination of all.) LOST PROPERTY: There are many uniform items in the hall that have not been claimed. There have been many attempts to find their owners with little success. SO as of next Monday any item is FREE! Items that are still there at the end of the week will be removed. Please check at home as there are several school jumpers and sports tops. SCHOOL ‘SUN SMART’ POLICY TERM 1 AND 4 - NO HAT- NO PLAY. ‘Roll On’ sunscreen is also recommended. Please help children learn how to independently apply the roll on sunscreen. ICECREAM SALES: Fridays Only: Ice creams will be sold to the students during Friday lunch times only during Term 4. Please note there is a strict one ice-cream per child limit applied. We ask the students be provided with correct money where possible – makes the selling process quicker and simpler for our volunteering parents! PRAYERS: We pray for Mrs. Caruana whose uncle died earlier this week following serious illness. We also pray for Mya Henry’s grandmother who died last week. Also pray for the Banon’s family whose Grandfather is very sick. Let us remember these souls who are in heaven and their families. We pray for families who are experiencing difficult and worrying times. We all experience times in our life when we face challenges. Prayer often brings comfort when we remember we are not alone. Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs Year 7 Orientation Day CRC are holding a Reunion 4th December 1.00pm to 10.00pm There will be a Grade 6 Orientation Day for all students attending KEILOR HOTEL Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs in 2011. This will be held on OLD CALDER HIGHWAY KEILOR VILLAGE Tuesday 7 December from 9:00am to 12:30pm. You will need to bring your child to the school in the morning and collect them again at RSVP Julie/Schembri Mizzi at 12:30pm. [email protected] Students are to wear their current Primary School PE uniform on the day. NETBALL UNDER 13 TEAM They will also need to bring a snack and drink for morning tea. The Redbacks Netball Team, which consists of Cana Students, has 2 positions available in the team for next year, 2011. These positions are available to any student who is currently in Grade 5 at Cana.
