Have you ever noticed the URL that shows up when you are on your Facebook page, the one with all of the numbers?
Would you like to get rid of the numbers and have a URL something like www.facebook.com/yourusername
Since Facebook profiles and pages are indexed on search engines, it is important to have a URL that is meaningful
and also easy to remember. To change your URL, login to Facebook and go to www.facebook.com/username.
Personal Pages
If you only have a personal page you will see the following screen:
Enter your desired username (at least 5 characters) and click on the Check Availability button to see if anyone else
has used this name. If the name has not been used, you must then confirm that you want to set your username.
Warning: Once you choose a username and save it, you cannot change it again.

Company Pages
If you also have a company page you will see a slightly different screen:
The first box is for your personal page. As you can see in the above example, the username is already set. If it wasn’t
set you would follow the steps for Personal Pages.
In the second box, the page names of all your company names will be listed. Select the company page for which you
would like to change the username. Enter your desired username (at least 5 characters) and click on the Check
Availability button to see if anyone else has used this name. If the name has not been used, you must then confirm
that you want to set your username.
Warning: Once you choose a username and save it, you cannot change it again.
Once complete you will have a nice Facebook URL which you can add to your website and give out to your clients.
