LOGOS - is meeting this Tuesday at 1.00pm in the parish office (across the road from the Church in the Institute). This is a meeting to read and discuss the lessons for the coming Sunday’s Parish Eucharist. A light lunch is provided, all welcome. EFFECTIVE LISTENING SKILLS course of six sessions, delivered by Durham Christian Partnership, will start on 18th October, at Witton Gilbert. The group meets at this time every week in term to do a bible study, but there will also be some socials later on. If you have any questions talk to John or any of the students. TO ALL STUDENTS - if you like home cooked food and would like to get to know some of the congregation here at St Oswald's a little better please ask Craig or Vivienne (in the choir) about being matched with a host for a meal at their home. If you have any dietary requirements would you let us know so that the match works out well. We're not promising cakes and puddings to match those on TV but a number of people would be happy to share their meal and knowledge of Durham life with you. DURHAM CHURCHES TOGETHER - One World Week: October 23rd. at 7.15 pm, at St. Antony’s Priory: ‘Swords into Ploughshares’ is the subject of an address by Fr. Martin Newell CP, a committed campaigner against all forms of warfare. The talk will be followed by a discussion.
