Organist update
We are s ll looking for a new organist. Given the
bi-lingual needs of the parish this is not an easy
task. We will be without music for our Sunday
celebra ons during this transi on period and I ask
for your pa ence and understanding while we
con nue to search for the right person for the
parish.

World Mission Sunday
Next weekend our parish will celebrate World Mission
Sunday. This year we are invited to reach out and help
build the Church in Mongolia, the world’s youngest
Catholic Church, as well as local churches throughout
the Missions, in the most remote areas across our world.
Through the work of these churches, and their witness
to Christ, the poor receive practical help and experience
God’s love and mercy, His hope and peace.
Please keep the Missions in your daily prayers.
Please come prepared next weekend to give generously
in the collection for the Society for the Propagation
of the Faith. For more information,

When you miss the Sunday Mass in our church,
please make up your Sunday offering
the following weekend
or send your donation through the mail.
All Masses on this day will be offered for the inten ons
of all of the deceased whose names you wrote on
the All Souls envelopes. We will remember our dearly
departed in a special way during the Novena Masses.
These envelopes will be placed on the Altar.
Please remember to return these envelopes before
November 2nd. Addi onal envelopes are in the

annulments; the requirements for annulments

Parafia Rzymsko - Katolicka Świętej Jadwigi
Hedwig, of royal birth, and still more illustrious by the
innocence of her life, was the daughter of Berthold, Prince
of Carinthia, and aunt, on the mother's side, of Saint
Elizabeth of Hungary. Having married Henry, Duke of
Poland, she fulfilled her duties as wife in so holy a fashion
that the Church compares her to the strong woman, whose
portrait is drawn for us by the Holy Ghost in today's Epistle.
She had three sons and three daughters. She macerated her
body both by fasting and watching and by the roughness of
her clothes. She was very charitable to the poor, whom she,
herself, served at table. Her husband, the Duke, having died,
Hedwig, like the merchant mentioned in the Gospel, gave
away all her riches to acquire the precious pearl of eternal
life. After praying earnestly and under Divine inspiration,
she generously exchanged worldly pomp for the life of the
Cross (Collect), entering the Cistercian monastery
of Trebnitz, where her daughter was Abbess.
She died on 15 October 1243, and Poland honours
her with special veneration.
All parishes within the Archdiocese of Newark
have already begun the opportunity to change
the lives of so many people in need in our
community by donating to the Archbishop’s
Annual Appeal. Thousands of people in the four
counties served by the Archdiocese of Newark are
assisted each year through various programs and
ministries funded by the Appeal.
This year our parish goal is $14,669.00.

Holy Family Church, Linden
2014 Doroczny Apel Arcybiskupa
Holy Family Parish has a long standing tradition
of baking nut, cheese, poppy and prune breads
for Thanksgiving. Orders can be placed starting
October 15th or until quota has been made.
The breads are $12 each.

between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm to place orders.
Breads will be ready for pick up on Tuesday,
November 11th after 2:00 pm in the basement
of the church.
