ALL SAINTS DAY, SATRUDAY, NOVEMBER 1st All Saints Day will be on Saturday, November 1st this year. Since it falls on a Saturday this year it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, however we will have an additional mass in Polish at 7PM as well as the regularly scheduled masses at 7:30AM or 5PM in English. DIVINE MERCY There is recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 7:15AM before the 7:30AM daily mass Monday through Saturday. You are invited to join us. Page 3 SCHOOL NEWS The community of Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional Catholic School welcomed close to two hundred pets for the annual Blessing of Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Father Janusz Lipski of Our Lady of Poland Parish blessed each of the dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, rabbits and reptiles, assisted by seventh graders Michael and Patrick Andes who coordinated a successful drive to provide pet food, blankets and supplies for the Southampton Animal Shelter. The annual Bucks for Books campaign to support the programs at OLH has had an early start. The raffle, with ten prizes ranging from $500 to $20,000, will be determined on January 31, 2015. WORLD YOUTH DAY KRAKOW 2016 In July 2016, the young Church of our Diocese will be joining millions of other young people from around the world as they journey together on a pilgrimage to Krakow, Poland for World Youth Day. Pilgrimages are available through the Diocese beginning July 24 - August 2, 2016 for $3,849 from New York, including airfare. Other packages are also available. MEMORIAL BRICKS A memorial brick is a great gift for a wedding, birth, living or deceased memorial and more. Many visitors and neighbors have commented about how nice it looks having all of our memorial bricks around the Blessed Mother. Thank you for your support of this program, and please note that this program will be ongoing. A memorial brick costs $100 dollars. Forms are available in the church. STIPENDS NEEDED FOR MASSES There are various mass openings in December. Also the new Mass Book for the Year of the Lord, 2015, is available. Please note that dates are given out on a first come, first serve basis. If there are dates that are close to your heart, please stop by the rectory and reserve those dates as soon as possible. From famine and war, deliver us. From nuclear war, from incalculable self destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us. From sins against human life from its very beginning, deliver us. From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us. From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us. From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us. From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us. Accept, O’ Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies. Help us with the power of the Holy spirit conquer all sin: individual sin and “sin of the world,” sin in all its manifestations. Let there be revealed once more in the history of the world the infinite saving power of the redemption: the power of the merciful love. May it put a stop to evil. May it transform consciences.
