Children’s Corner
Wagging Tales Kids can improve their literacy skills by
reading aloud to certified therapy dogs.
(1st Saturday) Sat., October 4, 10:30-11:30 am.
Pajama Storytime and Craft on Tuesdays- pj’s are
optional. 6:30-7:30 pm. (Ages 3-7)
Toddler Time Attend a story time for toddlers.

Toddler Dance High energy dance & movement for
children (18 mos.-5 yrs). (3rd Thursday) Thurs., October

Music & Movement Interactive musical activities for
babies and kids (newborns-5 yrs) and the adults who

Toddler Yoga Fun poses for parents & kids, stories and

Sign-A-Story Circle Time Monta Briant will sign stories
and lead us in songs, fingerplays, and games and
share tips on using sign language as an early communication tool with preverbal babies and toddlers.
(4th Thursday) Thurs., October 23, 10:30-11am.
Tap Dance Tuesdays! Dancers from age 2 to 82 will
perform then invite the audience to participate and
learn the moves. Tap Dance Tuesdays! is appropriate
for all ages and is wonderful fun for families.

Hatha Yoga Use postures (asana) and conscious breathing

awareness, strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Please bring your

Our Book Discussion Group meets on the 1st Wednesday of
each month from 6:30-7:45 pm. On Wed., October 1 we will
discuss Boomerang by Michael Lewis. Next month’s
selection will be A Bend in the River by V.S. Naipaul.
Special Events for Adults
Filipino Film & Lumpia “Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay” is an
award-winning 2013 horror/suspense film from the Philippines,
which follows a group of teenagers terrorized by an evil spirit.
Get in the mood for Halloween with this scary film, while
munching on tasty lumpia. In Tagalog with English subtitles.

Art Exhibition
Christine Albert, 2014 winner in the San Diego Art Institute’s
Southern California/Baja Norte Regional Exhibition, presents
“Paintings, Pen & Ink, Drawings.” On view through October 31.
