almus served our country in the u.s.
army during the Korean conflict. On
november 11, 1989, almus and Joyce
Marie barnett were united in marriage
in gower, MO.
he is preceded in death by his parents;
sister, lora Fern horner; and granddaughter, lilly ann.
survivors include his wife Joyce; children, anastasia belle allen, Zachary
austin allen, and sheila Florez, cristy
castleberry;
half-sister,
connie
Medernach; half-brother, Kenneth
horner; granddaughter, Macy; and
numerous nieces and nephews.

MO, formerly of st. Joseph, passed
away sunday, september 28, 2014 at
the home of his daughter in college
springs, ia.
he was born december 8, 1936 in st.
Joseph, son of edith and harold
ashlock. he graduated from lafayette
high school, then served in the u.s.
navy.
he worked at Wilbert Vault company,
Maggie's cafe, and the ashlock cafe,
and retired boehringer-ingelheim. he
enjoyed raising homing pigeons, and
rabbits and showing them at local
county and state fairs, he also enjoyed
fishing and going to the casino.
lester was preceded in death by wife,
Margaret lucille ashlock, his parents,
and a brother, clinton ashlock.

Olga married darrell spencer on
March 9, 1951. They made their home
in clarksdale, moved to columbia,
MO. in 1960 and then to longmont,
cO. in 1971. she later married Joseph
bates.

On april 15, 1956 she married Jack
lee galbraith of savannah at 3rd street
presbyterian church in st. Joseph, he
preceded her in death on april 5, 2014.
commonly referred to as “The cake
lady”, Valerie was a cake decorator,
caterer, floral designer, bridal consultant and artist for over 50 years. she
worked as a floral designer for a number of the florists in the st. Joseph and
savannah areas.
Valerie was a member of the rea
union church, in rea, MO.
Mrs. galbraith was also preceded in
death by two sisters; charlotte crumb
and Joyce Tribble.
