Blue Ribbon School – MdCV Elementary School has been awarded the 2014 National Blue Ribbon Award! What an incredible honor and achievement this is for the staff, students and community. Bleacher Creature – MdCV Cheerleaders will be hosting a clinic for those K-5 students on Saturday, October 18th from 9:00am – 11:00am. Please see the back of the bulletin for more details. BINGO! – The Melvern Masonic Lodge #22 will be hosting Bingo one Saturday a month. The date for October is Saturday the 11th. The time will be from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Concessions will be available. Plan on coming out and enjoying some family fun! Turkey Shoot – This is an adult/child free throw contest. No registration is required. The entry fee is 3 nonperishable holiday food items per team. This will take place on Saturday, October 25 th at 11:00am at the Melvern City Park Basketball court. Melvern 4H Club- Melvern Jr. Highline 4-H Club would like to invite any youth ages 7-18 years of age to join them at their monthly meeting. Quenemo Pride Christmas Store – Donations are now being accepted for the Annual Quenemo Pride Christmas Store. They will accept donations until Monday, December 1st. The Christmas Store will be open December 4th and 5th from 7:30am – 6:00pm and on the 6th from 7:30pm – 11:00am. Volleyball Clinic – Mr. Dyke will be having the Volleyball Clinic in Melvern from here on out. The dates are October 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. The times will be 2nd & 3rd grades from 3:00-3:30 and 4th & 5th grades from 3:30-4:00. Any questions please call the Melvern School. Tis’ the season – This time of year brings many different illnesses to the school. The Flu, Strep Throat, Hand, Foot and Mouth, Sinus Infection and chest colds just to name a few. Please be aware that we are starting to see these in the school already. Make sure you don’t send your child to school when they may be experiencing any of the symptoms related to any illness. Prevention is key when it comes to keeping our kids healthy.
