Meals are served on the plane. BREAKFAST, and then depart to the nearby village of Ein Karem. We will visit the site of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth and the birthplace of John the Baptist. Then, we will proceed to the little town of Bethlehem. We will visit the Church of the Nativity and see the Cave where archaeologists believe Jesus was born. After LUNCH before we leave Bethlehem we will visit Shepherd’s fields and celebrate MASS. Then you will have time for olive wood shopping before returning to your hotel. DINNER will be at the hotel. Monday, October 6, 2014 Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, you will board your deluxe MOTORCOACH to Galilee and proceed to your HOTEL for check in. DINNER will be at the hotel. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 BREAKFAST this morning, and then visit the Jordan River where John baptized Jesus, at a traditional baptism site. Then visit the traditional Church of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Visit the small chapel of the Primacy of Peter. Continue to Capernaum and the ruins of an ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and the house of St. Peter’s mother in law. Proceed to the Mt. of Beatitudes and celebrate MASS where you will hear the Beatitudes, from Jesus’ sermon on the mountain as recorded in Matt. 5, v 1-11. Afterwards, enjoy LUNCH of St. Peter’s fish and a scenic view of the sea where Jesus walked on the water and Peter tried and sank when he lost his faith, because he turned his focus away from Jesus. Tabor, the traditional Mountain of Transfiguration. Ascend to the top by taxi to the church on the crown of the mountain. You can view the valley below, and in awe praise God for His creation. Continue on to then to Nazareth and have LUNCH. Visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church over St. Joseph’s Workshop and celebrate MASS. It was here in Nazareth that Mary lived when the Angel Gabriel came to her to make the “announcement”. There will be time for some souvenir shopping. Return to the hotel for DINNER. Thursday, October 9, 2014 BREAKFAST this morning and then check out of your hotel and depart for Jerusalem. Enroute, visit Cana, the sight of the first miracle where Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast. Enjoy an opportunity to renew your wedding vows. Visit the Cana wine stores. Stop and visit Mt. Carmel in Haifa and and celebrate MASS. Enjoy LUNCH and the beautiful view over the city. Afterwards continue to the restored crusader city of Caesarea to see the amphitheater and the aqueduct. Continue to Jerusalem and your hotel for check in and overnight. DINNER will be at the hotel. Sunday, October 12, 2014 After BREAKFAST, leave behind the Old City of Jerusalem and travel to Jericho where the “Walls came tumbling down”, and the place where Zaccheus climbed the Sycamore tree to see Jesus. Afterwards drive to LUNCH and some free time to inspect all the Dead Sea products. There will be an opportunity to ride a camel for a small fee. Buy some delicious Jericho oranges and dates grown in the fertile valley. Continue to Qumran in the desert where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1942 by a shepherd boy tending his flock. Visit the Dead Sea and an opportunity to wade or swim in the water, or continue to Masada and take the TRAM to visit the ruins of the palaces of King Herod. Celebrate MASS at the church of the Latin Patriarche before departing to our special FAREWELL to Jerusalem DINNER. Monday, October 13, 2014 Early morning MASS in the Tomb or on Calvary and BREAKFAST. Depart to visit St. Anne’s church and the Pool of Bethesda. Then walk the Via Dolorosa (the way of the Cross) ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After LUNCH, some free time to enjoy the Old City on your own. DINNER at the hotel. Check out of the hotel this evening and depart for the airport. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 Arrive home today. As you sit and look out over God’s creation from an aerial view, you can ponder all the sights that you have seen and all the places that you walked – places where Jesus’ feet touched long before you came to visit and experience. These memories will be a blessing to your life for the rest of your days. Friday, October 10, 2014 Early morning MASS on Calvary or in the Tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. BREAKFAST, then drive to the top of the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. There, our guide will explain Temple Mount, the Church of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem, the Jewish cemetery and the Palm Sunday road. Then visit the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane and the Rock of Agony. Continue to the Church of St. Peter En Gallencanto, (commemorating Peter’s denial of the Savior before the cock crowed three times) then we will drive to LUNCH. After lunch, drive to Mt. Zion to visit the Upper Room. Then visit the Church of Dormition (where Mary fell asleep). Take a walking tour to visit the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall. DINNER will be at the hotel. Dear Fr.
