STEWARDSHIP
REFLECTIONS
12 October 2014
28th Sunday Ordinary Time
“And my God will supply every need of
yours…” - Philippians 4:19
God really does provide for those that are
grateful and generous. This is very difficult
for people that don’t live a stewardship
lifestyle to believe. People are skeptical and
say it’s just coincidence. If you are skeptical,
try living a stewardship lifestyle for just one
month – be generous with your gifts of time,
talent and treasure and see how God
provides for your needs.

Tuesday 14th October, 7pm
St. Mary’s Community Centre, Gatton
in a Nutshell
The wedding
banquet is an
important biblical
image to describe
the glory of God’s
kingdom.
Today’s Gospel challenges the
complacency of believers. God’s
grace is always a free invitation,
experienced in countless ways,
great and small, each day of our
lives. How willing is our response?

Scripture for the week: St Paul speaking to the Christians in Rome:
Romans chapter 6 : 8 "Now if we died with Christ, we believe that
we will also live with him. " (NIV).
An intriguing statement: If we surrender our lives to Jesus, whilst
on earth, then we can expect to live with Jesus in heaven.

THANK YOU FOR LOCATING LOST PROPERTY
We would like to pass on our thanks for the help provided after
Beverley left her handbag in the Laidley Church after Mass last
Saturday. On returning home, she realised it was missing and
returned to Laidley but by that time the Church had been closed
up. We did leave a message for Michael Hagen on his phone
number. Next morning we received a phone call fro Ellen
Bachmann in Laidley to say that she had the handbag for pickup at
her house. She had been ringing around the Prince's in the phone
book and was able to contact my brother who passed our mobile
phone number onto her.
Shortly after picking up the handbag, Michael returned our call to
say he had been ringing around and had located the handbag at
Ellen's. So, please pass on our thanks to those people and any
others who may have been involved in locating us.
