MEMBERS OF THE PARISH Those who have kindly offered to provide a dish or help serve in any way for the Seniors Luncheon, we thank you for your generosity. CLEANING OF ST. PATRICK’S LAIDLEY CHURCH We are seeking new people who may be able to give of their time to clean the Church at Laidley. The cleaning of the church generally takes place before the weekend masses at a time convenient to you. Cleaning takes approximately 1 hour and we can arrange to pair you with an experienced church cleaner for you to learn the ropes. Please contact the Parish Office on 5465 3131 if you can assist. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL - Gatton are seeking donations of second hand furniture in decent condition. To arrange collection please phone and leave a message on 5462 3486. THE BIBLE STUDY GROUP Both meetings will be held in the Parish Community Centre and all are welcome. These meetings are for anyone who has an interest in the Bible. If you have not studied the Bible in depth , then these sessions are for you. The studies are intended to bring the Bible alive and to highlight what Jesus wants of us. We will meet Jesus on Judgement day, let us make sure we will be ready. As Jesus says in Matthew 13: 49/50 "This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth ". You may have heard it said :- God loves us so much that all will be saved. This statement is NOT TRUE and is not in the Bible. The meeting on Wednesday will be held from 7.00 pm until 8.30 pm. The meeting on Thursday will be held from 9.30 am until 12 noon. The program will include two Requiems. The first is by Michael Haydn (brother to Joseph Haydn), the second one by Tomas Luis de Victoria. Admission is $25 (adults) and $20 (concession).
