Ad Specs MSN VPAID MSN VPAID creatives allow users to actively interact with video pre rolls through a number of ways, either through extending the ad experience either via opening up a mini site or extending the pre roll content, through to social sharing or downloading a brochure. All VPAID creatives must be created as per the VPAID specifications set by our certified Third Party Vendors (as listed in the below table). VPAID ads are certified across short form inventory. Placement not available across mobile and tablet devices. b. Ad cannot be first party served, it must be provided as a Third Party Ad tag. Design and Performance a. Content: To protect our brand please ensure ad content is appropriate to the general audience nature of the page. The bottom 60 pixels should not contain any creative messaging, logos or hotspots as this will be obscured by the video player controls. b. Build: The ad unit must be built to the technical specifications of the 3rd party vendor (list of supported vendors in table above). Please contact the vendor for more details on these specifications. c. Video Length: The default Video Length is 15 seconds Max for shortform. Please note this can be extended or paused on user interaction. d. Close Button: Only applicable for expanding VPAID ad formats. Close button must: Be present and located on the top right hand corner of the expanded panel Must display the word ‘Close’ and an ‘X symbol’ Must be designed to stand out from the ad e. Expansion: Roll over initiated expanding VPAID ads must feature a 1 sec delay. The Expanded Panel can expand on roll over or click, however it must retract by click. Default unit must contain a clear call to action that the ad unit will expand Note: All ad executions are subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution for brand equity/user experience reasons. If you are unsure about a concept that you are working on please submit it to your sales rep for feedback. Timelines and Delivery a. Creative assets must be submitted at least 5 working days prior to run date for approval to ensure technical compatibility. b. Please note if creative is late an estimated % of impressions equivalent to the prorated daily inventory level will be cancelled from the total impressions booked c. Ad is subject to approval and ninemsn reserves the right to request changes to content and/or execution.
