The building committee has been busy. They have pushed through the pad and cover for the BBQ. Okay for you who want to know where that is? It is in the far back corner of the breeze way. You ask why we need that. Well there are a few reasons. One it will keep the good folks that cook steaks, burgers and dogs dry, and the most importantly, it will meet the fire code. There are more projects coming soon. All to make this a better Eagle’s club for you. Okay brother’s here is where I need your help. At the end of August we have 670 aerie members, out of that 85 are not in good standing so that puts us at 585 members in September. Our goal is 800 members. That will make us one of the largest Aerie’s in the state of Washington. EMOALONMTHAEY! Does everyone have a pen? Please make room on your calendar and bring your appetites on Friday, October 24th at 6:00 PM. I will be bringing my posse and we will be putting on a spaghetti feed. All for $8.00, all money made that night will go to the Memorial Foundation. In closing I would be remiss if I didn’t mention it is my favorite time of the year. Yes it is time for football. Seahawk Football! Every Sunday we will be serving food yes the home wreckers are back by popular demand. So I will see you on Sundays at 12 noon for some NFL action. Roxanne Newsletter Questionnaire A questionnaire was sent to the majority of the members asking about delivery of the newsletter due to a petition started at the Club. Of the 581 letters sent, 188 responses were received. Of the responses received, only 20 total requested snail mail. The purpose of this letter was to update e-mail and physical addresses. If you know of someone not receiving a newsletter have them stop by the Club and fill out a response. Email addresses are computer based, any small insignificant error will prohibit a sending and receiving to an address. Numerous updates and corrections to both addresses were received and this was a beneficial Below are comments received on the e-mail questionnaire mailed on July 25th. Some are very pertinent while other comments were just provided; Clean-up the walls! Sometimes in the newsletter things are repeated! Why! The calendar, list of officers and routine functions are provided in a table form to be a quick reference. When changes are made the information may be duplicated throughout the newsletter to specifically highlight the changes. We only receive the newsletter sporadically. E-mail would work much better. The intent is to consistently provide the newsletter by e-mail. It is published every other month. Can you add the white board calendar into the printed calendars? It’s great for the frig (info) and to put in the restrooms – especially for summer visitors. The back two (2) pages of the newsletter are the calendar. The big white board calendar is copied from the newsletter calendar. Changes made during the month may not be reflected in the newsletter. Leave plenty of copies at the door forfolks to read here if choose – or take with if need be. Most will read here and leave on table for others when finished – I believe. A binder with the newsletter is provided at the door along with copies and monthly calendars. Salads at lunch would be nice! This is the third time I’ve given e-mail address for this purpose. We realized that information is missing or in error and this questionnaire is an attempt to correct errone- exercise. Thanks to all of those that provided a response and comments. We are reviewing the comments for action. Your personal information received including e-mail and physical addresses are only available to limited individuals. ous or missing information. Thank you for responding. Is the regular mail newsletter something new? A petition was generated requesting the newsletter be provided by US Mail. The intention is to provide copies at the Aerie and electronically e-mail vice US Mailing due to extreme cost of copying and postage. Plane to fly around Belfair to advertise “Eagles Rule.
