CRISIS STABILIZATION COUNSELOR – POSITION #CL-100-5 – Serve as a multi-disciplinary team
member to provide stabilization services to individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring mental
health and substance use disorders who are at risk for admission/re-admission to a psychiatric hospital or
unit. Duties include assessment, treatment planning, individual/group counseling, service coordination, and
clinical documentation. Minimum of a Master’s Degree in human services is required plus 2 years direct
experience providing behavioral health interventions. Applicant who is licensed or license eligible (LCSW,
LPC, etc.) is preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience as it relates to the position.

EARLY INTERVENTION CASE MANAGER – POSITION #YE-620-4 – Provide assessment, linkage, and
advocacy services to infants & toddlers under the age of 3 & their families in Martinsville, Franklin, Henry, &
Patrick Counties. Acts as primary facilitator in the coordination & integration of early intervention services.
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, special education, human services related field, or any
discipline or profession listed under Part C Personnel Standards; or a Registered Nurse with a valid license
to practice in Virginia; or any equivalent combination of education, training, & experience, which provides
the required knowledge, skills, & abilities. Prefer that Early Intervention Professional Practitioner Level be
met for a discipline or profession as defined in Chapter 12 of the Infant Toddler Connection of Virginia’s
practice manual. Prefer at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 6 with
developmental disabilities or developmental delays, case management, and writing/implementing
multidisciplinary service plans. Requires excellent communication skills and experience in working
pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people. Salary is commensurate with education &

skills in counseling and training, and knowledge about the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
Position is responsible for planning and implementing substance abuse prevention: educational programs
targeting elementary, middle, and high school populations; activities and presentations designed to develop
youth leadership and life skills; and education programs for adults and the community regarding substance
abuse issues. Qualified applicant must be comfortable working independently as well as with a team,
speaking to large groups, working with diverse populations, including children, teens & adults. Requires
evening hours on a regular basis & weekend hours occasionally. This position is grant-funded and will be
contracted for one year. Bachelor’s degree required in human services or related field.

ASSESSMENT SERVICES COUNSELOR – POSITION #FC-320-10- Position will provide clinical
assessments, aftercare services, triage, crisis services and VICAPS for mental health and substance use
services in Franklin County. This is a multi-faceted position that requires licensure (LPC, LCSW) or license
eligible with two years of experience working with individuals with mental illness (SMI, SED, At Risk) and/or
