Information Technology Analyst 1 Level 3 – Basic Minimum Salary: $49,576*** Maximum Salary A: $83,347**** Maximum Salary B: $79,180**** Information Technology Analyst 2 Level 4 – Journey Minimum Salary: $56,918*** Maximum Salary A: $98,030**** Maximum Salary B: $93,128**** POSITION DESCRIPTION The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office is seeking experienced Storage Administrators to join our Technical Services & Operations team. This team supports disk and tape storage administration for all IBM z/OS mainframes and Open Systems (IBM/AIX and Intel) storage environments. The Judiciary utilizes IBM’s state-of-the-art storage technology including DS8100, DS8870 and XIV storage subsystems as well as IBM TS7700 virtual tape systems and IBM 3584 automated tape libraries. Responsibilities of these positions include data placement, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring. In addition, you will play an active role in designing offsite recovery services and in exercising disaster recovery plans. Candidates should be familiar with TSO/e, ISPF, SDSF, JCL, DFSMS, DFDSS, RMM, ICF catalogs, FDR/ABR, ICKDSF. These positions will include participation in an on-call support rotation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree. EDUCATION NOTE: Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service. (See www.naces.org/members.html) EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional experience in analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems and/or installing computer systems applications in a mainframe, local area network, or personal computer environment; planning, acquiring and/or installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks; and/or generating and maintaining system software -OR- two years of technical experience in the operation and maintenance of multi-program computer systems and completion of an approved course in systems in analysis/computer programming. SUBSTITUTION: An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and one (1) year of experience. Three (3) years of post secondary education in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in any field may be substituted for the required education and one (1) year of experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and experience. AOC Information Technology Office Internship may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional IT technical and/or professional experience on a year for year basis. Completion of a relevant course of training in Information Technology may be substituted for up to one (1) year of required experience. NOTE: Experience with IBM TS7650 ProtecTIER deduplication appliance, IBM Global Mirroring, and VBS scripting are a plus. DRIVER’S LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
