As a U of M student, you know the
University of Minnesota is a great
school, with great opportunities, in
a great location. As an Admissions
Ambassador, you have an opportunity
to be part of a team of volunteers
who share their special and unique
experiences with prospective students
and their families. Admissions
Ambassadors play a vital role in the
recruitment of new students to the
University of Minnesota.

What do Ambassadors do?
Make a difference.
• Show school spirit
• Promote the University of Minnesota to prospective
students
• Attend weekly meetings
• Give campus tours
• Talk with students over the phone about campus visits
• Attend the ambassador retreat
• Participate in on-campus prospective student events
• Celebrate a year of great experiences at the annual ambassador awards banquet!
Ambassador Timeline
• Length of service: two semesters (Spring and Fall)
• Ambassador meetings are held on Tuesdays from
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., 200 Jones Hall
First meeting for new members is January.
• Training begins in late January.
• Typical time commitment is 3 tours per month plus special
events, weekly meetings, and 6-8 hours of calling per year.
