To all our visitors…
Bishop John R. Gaydos, the clergy and the faithful of the Diocese of Jefferson City welcome you and hope that your time in
our Mother Church may be an opportunity to share our faith
and joy in Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our parish was formed in 1959 and was elevated to the title of
Cathedral in 1968 and dedicated in 1974. Please enjoy the beauty of this spacious building dedicated to the Glory of God and
the memory of Saint Joseph, the Husband of Mary. It was built
for the inspiration of all who enter. Free tour booklets are available.
All visitors who are not of the Roman Catholic faith are most
welcome to join us in prayer and worship, but not to receive Holy Communion. Reception of Holy Communion is a sign of full
unity and membership in the Catholic community. Together let
us all pray for the unity of all believers.
If you desire to become a member of the Roman Catholic
Church or to become a member of the Cathedral Parish, please
call the parish office at 573-635-7991.
All contributions to the Cathedral ministries and maintenance
are sincerely appreciated. Please remember this Cathedral parish
in your Last Will and Testament to support our parish’s ongoing
mission.

increase in vocations to the priesthood. Did you know, there are
3,496 parishes without a resident Priest in the United States?
Requests for substitutes for an hour at a time for individuals
unable to cover their regular hours are posted in the Adoration
Chapel. Anyone is welcome to visit and pray at any time. Substitutes are needed and welcome in order to reach "perpetual" adoration. Please consider this devotion. If you are interested in
committing to any of these VACANT hours, contact the parish

The CSA offers Catholics in the Diocese of Jefferson City an
opportunity to respond to Jesus’ teaching, that when we serve
those in need, we are in fact serving Him. Sometimes it is difficult to envision how one pledge can help or make a difference.
Each gift does make a difference because we ask all parishioners
around the diocese to participate. Our combined gifts signify our
gratitude to God and glorify Him by working together to care
for one another.
Anyone who cannot serve at their appointed time will

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS
The donors hope you received and read the Catholic books donated by our parishioners at Christmas and Easter the past few
years. Our desire is to make this an annual Christmas & Easter
Cathedral tradition. To do this the donors need your support.
These books are not purchased by the Cathedral but by people
just like you, the people in the pews that have been inspired by
reading these books.
In your tithe envelope packet you will notice there is an extra
envelope designated for Dynamic Catholic Book Give-a-way.
Any amount you can provide will be greatly appreciated so that
we may continue this well received tradition. Thank you!
DYNAMIC BOOK ENVELOPES
The junior varsity St. Joseph volleyball team; Lexi Boeckman,
Claire Bonnot, Grace Hollaway, Emily Houser, Sophey Nivens, Anna Owens, Megan Volmert, and Marcy Wicks, competed in a tournament hosted by St. George in Linn, on October
11, for a full day of pool play and then championship play. St.
Joseph was successful in earning a second place trophy from an
exhausting day of play. The coaches for this tournament, Lori
Bonnot and Roger Owens supported the team with encouragement, praise and laughter. We are extremely proud of this
group of players and their continued success!
