To the ISS
class of
2015
It was good to have you with us at the International Summer
School (ISS). We hope you cherish the memories of your time
in Oslo. As we write this, the staff is busy preparing for the 2016
session of the summer school. At the cusp of the new year, we
would like to send each and every one of you a heartfelt
greeting.
You, our alumni, are among our most important ambassadors.
Thank you for recommending the ISS to friends and colleagues!
The 2016 catalogue and link to the online application is
available at uio.no/summerschool. Thank you for all your
help with recruitment to the 2016 session!
Many of you were filmed by our own ISS student Naby Dakhli
this summer. All the clips have now been turned into videos
which shows the life on ISS. We are very pleased with the result
and hope you will like them too! You can find the videos on the
ISS webpage.
You all established many personal and professional
connections during the summer school. We, the ISS staff, would
like to urge you to stay in touch with friends and fellow
students through the ISS 2015 International Summer
School Facebook group. We would also like to remind you of
our general Facebook page www.facebook.com/oslo.iss
(You do not need to be a member of Facebook to access the
page).
We hope that all of you have continued to nurture the networks
that were established here. The connections you made are
testimony to the ISS vision of international understanding and
peaceful coexistence. In the hope that this vision will inspire
you in your future work, we send you our best wishes for the
holiday season, for the New Year, and for the years to come.

Til sommerskolestudentene
Det var veldig hyggelig å ha dere som studenter på
sommerskolen, og vi håper at dere har mange gode minner
fra tiden i Oslo. I skrivende stund er vi i ISS-staben godt i
gang med planleggingen av sommerskolen 2016, og i det vi
er i ferd med å gå inn i det nye året, vil vi gjerne sende hver
og en av dere en hjertelig hilsen.
Dere, våre tidligere studenter, er blant våre viktigste ambassadører. Takk for at dere anbefaler ISS til venner og
kolleger! Katalogen vår, samt lenke til søknadssidene finner
dere på uio.no/summerschool. Takk for all hjelp med
rekruttering til sommerskolen 2016!
Mange av dere ble filmet av vår egen ISS-student Naby
Dakhli i sommer. Nå har alle klippene blitt til filmer som
viser livet på ISS. Noen av filmene er alt tilgjengelige på
nettsidene våre, og det kommer til å bli lagt ut nye filmer
i ukene framover. Vi er veldig fornøyde med resultatet, og
håper dere også vil like dem! Du finner filmene på
nettsidene våre.
Mange nettverk og kontakter oppsto under sommerskolen.
Vi i ISS-staben oppfordrer alle til å opprettholde kontakten med venner og medstudenter. Facebook-gruppen ISS

fortsatt og vi oppfordrer også alle til å besøke den faste

ISS har en visjon om mellommenneskelig forståelse og
fredelig sameksistens. Dere har vist at denne visjonen kan
omsettes i praksis. I håp om at den vil inspirere hver enkelt
av dere i møte med utfordringer dere står overfor i arbeidet
deres, sender vi våre beste ønsker for det nye året og for
årene som kommer!
