SISTERHOOD BOOK CLUB

musical settings (nusach) of weekday
and Shabbat. Learn the liturgical
background and festive tunes

services. Completing this class successfully will enable
you to lead a Shiva minyan and weekday and
Shabbat services.

Saturday, November 8 - Torathon 2014 at BI from 5:20 to 10:00 p.m. If you purchase
tickets before Thursday, November 6, the fee is $5. Otherwise the fee is $10 the night of
the event. Tickets are available from Laura Traiger or in the BI Office.
Sunday, November 9 - Program with the emissaries! From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at BI.
Sunday, November 9 - USY board meeting at BI from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Leadership convention for board members only AND
Jr. USY Convention for 6th-8th graders only
BOTH events are at Camp Ramah and flyers for both of these events have been

Emanuel, 385 Ward St., Newton from 7:45 - 11:00 p.m., Fee is $16. RSVP by Friday,

Saturday, December 6 - Hot Topics discussion at Rabbi Fellman's home from 2:30-3:30
p.m. for 8th -12th graders only.
Saturday, December 13 - Babysitting for Coffeehouse - this is a USY fundraiser - more
details to follow.
Sunday, December 14 - Annual Chanukah party at Jewish Health Care Center from
2:30-4:30 p.m. More details to follow.
Alan Harris is seeking two USYers who can commit to leading services with him at the
Jewish Health Care Center the first and third Shabbatot of each month. If you are
interested, please let Laura Traiger know for more details. This is a great community
