The Bolles School Uible Pool (Swimming) & Lobrano Pool (Diving & Warm-up/down
during competition), 7400 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32217
Pool Specs:
Competition Pool: 1.) Time Finals – 8-lane, 25-yard course (Uible Pool)
2.) Continuous 25-yard warm-up/down lanes will be available
throughout the competition with FEET-FIRST ONLY ENTRY from the deck allowed
3,) Diving Competition: 2 x 1 meter Durafirm diving stands with Maxi boards
Timing Equipment: SST System and Colorado Timing Scoreboard
Entries:
Hy-Tek meet entry files as received from FHSAA following respective District results.
Seeding:
Timed Finals; seeded slowest to fastest.
Awards:
Ribbons – 1st – 8th place for individual and relay events
Trophies – 1st – 2nd place for overall team champions for boys and girls
Scoring:
Points will be earned for 1st – 16th place
Individual events: 20,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,9,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Relay events: 40,34,32,30,28,26,24,22,18,14,12,10,8,6,4,2
Coaches Meeting:
2:00 p.m. in the official’s/hospitality room. Teams will need to send one representative.
Passes/Packets:
Available at check-in desk at the entry gate beginning at 1:00 p.m. Passes will only be
given to participants and coaches

Official’s briefing in the official’s/hospitality room at 2:15 p.m.. Uniform is white shirt,
khaki bottoms (shorts, pants, skirt, skorts), white shoes, FHSAA or USA-S credentials

Rules:
2014-15 National Federation of Swimming and Diving Rules and Records for
Championship meets as amended by the FHSAA. “Fly-Over” Starting Procedures will
be utilized throughout the meet. For all events other than backstroke, swimmers
remain in the water against the wall until the following heat has started. Backstroke
swimmers exit the pool upon the finish of the final swimmer in the heat. Relay swimmer
#’s 1-3 exit the lane immediately upon completion of their relay leg.
Swim Warm-ups:
Team Warm-ups will be designated as follows for the Uible Competition Pool:
1:30 – 2:10 p.m.
1A District 2 Schools (Local Jax area teams)
2:10 – 2:50 p.m.
1A District 1 & 3 Schools (Teams traveling from out of local area)
The competition pool will be closed for warm-ups at 2:50 p.m.
Timers:
A mandatory timer’s briefings will be held in the Official’s/Hospitality room at 2:30 p.m.
Deck Space:
Bleacher seating at the Uible Competition Pool is limited. Teams should plan to bring
canopy tents and folding chairs to erect in available areas inside the Uible and Lobrano
pool deck spaces or outside the pool fence.

State Championship Series: Participating school administration must be present at regional events when their
school is competing.
Student Athlete Failure to Appear: A student-athlete who qualifies in a state series meet as an individual is
expected to compete on successive levels of the state series unless ill, injured, suspended
due to disciplinary action, or for any other reason acceptable to the Executive Director. If
the student-athlete does not compete on a successive level, the student-athlete will not be
permitted to compete in any other event in the State Series in that sport. Personnel on
relay teams may be changed in accordance with the rules governing those sports. A
school must submit in writing to the FHSAA Office the name of the student-athlete and
an explanation for the inability to compete in advance of the competition whenever
situations make it possible to do so. Failure to participate in the district/regional meet by
an individual or relay team is a violation of FHSAA policy and shall subject the school to
a $50 penalty unless the reason for failure to participate is approved by the FHSAA
Office.
