P We make the sign of the cross in remembrance of the day we were baptized, in the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen. P Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of all mercy and the God of all consolation, who comforts us in all our sorrows so that we can comfort others in their sorrows with the consolation we ourselves have received from God. Christ, the Lamb enthroned above, you call your loved ones home. C Those believers who have died here on earth, are now welcomed with open arms in your glorious paradise. P In many and various ways, your people worshipped and served you in their lives here on earth, and now live their new lives filled with days of endless praise. C In the waters of their baptism, you called them to be your own and to follow your will. P Now by your grace, you call them to come into the realms of heaven, where you have prepared a special place for them. C Through the years, your faithful people have made our lives rich with meaning. Now their lives are enriched by your presence.
