Shriners,!1000!E.!Edgerton!Road,!Broadview!Heights,!OH!at!0600!on!November!22,!2014!in! Camouflage!Uniform!with!Red!National!TXShirt!and!black!boots.!!Upon!arrival,!and!after!check!in,! Young!Marines!will!board!busses!and!travel!to!Goat!Island!and!Buffalo!Naval!Park!for!an!overnight! encampment.! 3) Mission!The!mission!of!the!Buffalo!Naval!Park!Encampment!will!be!to!experience!what!it!would!be! like!to!be!stationed!on!a!Naval!Vessel!by!spending!the!night!in!actual!berthing!areas!of!the!U.S.S.! Little!Rock!and!gaining!knowledge!of!U.S.!Naval!History.! 4) Safety!No!training!is!worth!injuring!or!harming!a!Young!Marine.!Accordingly,!the!following!actions! will!take!place!at!all!levels:! a) Registered!Adults!and!Young!Marine!NCOs!will!continually!monitor!their!subordinate!Young! Marines!for!medical!conditions!and!physical!accountability.! b) Prior!to!performing!unusual!activities,!safety!aspects!will!be!discussed,!as!well!as!safety! debriefing!by!Registered!Adult.! c) A!designated!AMO!will!be!on!deck!throughout!the!encampment!weekend.!The!AMO!will! maintain!the!First!Aid!supplies!and!be!the!1st!echelon!responder!in!case!of!injury!to!a!Young! Marine!member.! 5) Security!Each!Young!Marine!is!required!to!stay!with!their!Young!Marine!Unit.!Once!a!Young!Marine! is!signed!in!that!Young!Marine!will!not!leave!the!unit’s!Area!of!Operation!with!anyone,!including!that! Young!Marine’s!parents!until!properly!signed!out.!Every!Registered!Adult!and!Senior!Young!Marine! is!charged!with!the!safety!of!every!Young!Marine!in!his!or!her!care.! 6) Administration!Each!Young!Marine!Unit!must!bring!a!copy!of!YMFORM2!(Emergency!Contact! Young!Marines!will!treat!all!personnel!involved!(including!civilians)!with!respect.! c) Parents.!The!LOI!must!be!signed!by!a!Parent!and!or!Legal!Guardian!and!Young!Marine!prior!to! event.!Parent!and/or!Legal!Guardian!must!sign!in!the!Young!Marines!at!the!designated! Formation!area,!and!must!provide!a!phone!number!to!be!contacted!in!case!of!an!emergency!or! the!event!is!finished!early.!They!should!also!provide!the!name!and!phone!number!of!an! alternate!point!of!contact!should!they!not!be!available!during!the!event.! d) Use1of1drugs1and1alcohol.1Illegal!possession!of!drugs!or!the!use!of!unXauthorized!prescription! drugs!by!any!Registered!Adult!and/or!Young!Marine!is!punishable!by!severe!disciplinary!action! and/or!discharge.!The!Young!Marine!policy!is:!the!distribution,!possession,!or!use!of!illegal! drugs,!tobacco!or!alcohol!is!not!tolerated!in!the!Young!Marine!Program.! e) Personal1Weapons.!Personal!firearms!and!weapons!of!all!types!are!not!permitted!to!be!carried! by!Young!Marines!at!this!event.! f) Personal1Appearance.!All!Young!Marines!are!expected!to!maintain!traditional!high!standards!of! appearance,!including!but!not!limited!to!HAIRCUTS!!Ladies!hair!pulled!back!in!a!bun!please.! g) Uniforms.!The!uniform!of!the!day!is!Camouflage!Uniform!with!Red!National!TXShirt!and!Unit!TX Shirt!and!black!boots,!along!with!gear!described!in!the!attached!Gear!List.! 7) Logistics1 a) Transportation.!Parents!are!responsible!for!getting!their!Young!Marines!to!and!from!Al!Koran!
