C. 58499 18th November, 2014 Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Departments are asked to invite applications from suitably qualified officers in their Ministries/Departments to fill the post of Technical Support Administrator (GMG/AM 3) in the Law Revision Secretariat, Ministry of Justice, salary range $933,049 $1,109,102 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post. Key Responsibilities Carries out the revision exercise of the Subsidiary Legislation annually. Examines Subsidiary Legislation for inconsistencies and irregularities, and consults with the Chief Parliamentary Counsel or Legal Officers in the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel in order to effect the necessary changes. Peruses the Jamaica Gazette Supplement (Proclamations, Rules and Regulations), and the Jamaica Gazette Extraordinary with a view to identifying legislation to be amended and any new ones to be added. Proofreads the computerized pages of the laws (Statutes and Subsidiary Legislations) with the senior members of staff to ensure correct re-production. Proofreads the pages relative to the preparation of a loose-leaf Guide in hard copy and electronic form. Monitors job output of data officer responsible for typesetting of Subsidiary Legislation. Overall responsibility of the Law Revision Office in the absence of the Technical Assistant to the Law Revision Commissioners.
