Stations of the Cross

Parish groups (or individuals) are once
again invited to lead the Stations. Different weekly formats allow us to reflect on the Stations very personally.
Therefore please take the opportunity
to sign up on the sheet at the back of
church.
During Lent, copies of a form of stations will be available at the back of
church for any individual to come and
pray the stations individually and privately. Please use these folders, and
leave them for others to use. You are
welcome to sit and read and pray, or
to follow each station. A wonderful

History of
St David's church building
We are collecting items of historical
interest with regard to the 50 years of
our church building. Mr Hughes has
kindly agreed to make room to store
and collect any items in the school. Mr
Eddie Saul will scan and copy photos,
and documents, and Mr Mark Philpot
will organise and catalogue items.
If you have anything relating to the
history of the church which we can
display, please let any of the above
know, or take it to the school. Please
ensure items are marked with your
name, for return.
Extraordinary Ministers
of the Eucharist:
Renewal Programme
The parish will offer this again this year
on Saturday March 19th from 10 am until
12 noon. The format will be Reflection
(by Fr.Francis Doyle), Practical Discussion and adoration. All Ministers are
asked to make every effort to attend.
Lent Family Fast Day: 4th March
Collection on 5th&6th March
To coincide with the usual 1st Sunday collection date for Cafod, Lent Fast Day this
year for this Parish will be Friday 4th
March. The collection will be on Sat 5th &
Sun 6th March. Envelopes will be distributed the weekend before.
Cafod boxes are available in the porch
if you would like one.
Cafod and the Refugees.
Cafod is working with local Caritas partners in
both Syria and Greece. So far they have distributed 120,000 food packages, 70,000
to Syria and 52,000 to Greece.26,000 hygiene
kits to Syria, 500 baby kits to Greece, 5,000
macs and ponchos, 17,000 pieces of winter
clothing- hats, insulated jackets,socks and
shoes. Cafod is also working with Caritas and
other partners in Syria itself, in very dangerous conditions ;they are managing to reach
people in difficult areas. Please pray for them.
Also working with Caritas in the camps in Lebanon and Jordan. Much more information

In 2015 the Parish sent £1000 to help the
Syria appeal. £1,624 to help in Nepal after the
earthquake. £2025 to help the poorest in Brazil and S. America. £3019 .99 for Lent and
Harvest fast days, which helps support long
term development programmes as well as
