UNIDROIT PRINCIPLES OF INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS
ISSUES RELATING TO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
Consultation meeting
University of Oslo, 3 and 4 March 2016
http://www.jus.uio.no/ifp/english/research/events/2016/unidroit-consultation-meeting.html
The meeting is meant as a consultation meeting to give feedback on the work the UNIDROIT is
carrying out regarding the Principles for International Commercial Contracts.
A group of experts was established by the UNIDROIT to recommend amendments and additions so
as to make the current text of the Principles more adequate for long term contracts.
More information on this work may be found here: http://www.unidroit.org/work-in-progressstudies/current-studies/long-term-contracts
The Working Group had meetings in January 2015 and in October 2015. Based on these meetings,
the Group produced the final text of amendments and additions. The final text is to be submitted
to the Council during 2016.
The purpose of this meeting is to receive as much feedback as possible on how the new text of the
Principles is expected to be applied in practice. The text is enclosed in this folder.
