Marilynn Dragone, Tatiana Arrieta and Lois Scanio ATTENTION CCD TEACHERS & FAMILIES: There are no Religious Education classes during We Celebrate Your Birth Dear Lord, as we celebrate Your birth, let us remember that You are the true reason for Christmas. Let every sparkling light remind us how You illuminate our lives, a shining beacon to guide us in our thoughts and actions each day, and how You light us from within in the knowledge of Your love and truth. Let the Christmas trees, standing straight, tall, unbowed, remind us of Your uprightness, Your goodness, Your perfection, and Your refusal to bow to worldly temptations, no matter how great the challenge or trouble. Lord, as we feast on Christmas treats, let us remember that You are the sole provider of everything worth having, that all good things come from You. And as we enjoy our gifts, let us never forget that You are the greatest gift of all--our wonderful Savior, Counselor, Giver of an eternal life whose wonders we cannot imagine. So as we delight in Christmas, the happiest and brightest of holidays, let us remember there would be no Christmas without You, Lord, and let us our hearts be filled with joy, and love and thankfulness, this Christmas and all the ones to come. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. By Joanna Fuchs Christmas week and New Year's week. Classes will resume on Sunday, January 4, 2015. The Religious Education Office will close on Tuesday, December 23rd and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 20l5. 0622-3 St. Michael The Archangel Church, Union, New Jersey December 20 & 21, 2014 ST. You helped put smiles on so many faces this season. A special thank you to Joe and Carol Furnari, Elivra Fernandez and Maureen McGee for their special help in making this possible. 0622-5 I am overwhelmed with your generosity!!! On Dec. 1st I stopped at the Parish Center where I saw the boxes and boxes, bags and bags of personal hygiene products. The next day I transported this precious cargo from the convent where I live in New Windsor to Newburgh Ministry. Staff members were overjoyed! Every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon the personal hygiene closet is open and people (most often, moms with their little ones) come to ask for those items not covered by food stamps. It is RARE that we can give them a family-size bottle of shampoo or a large tube of tooth paste. When they request deodorant or razors, most often we are “all out”. Your contributions WILL make a difference. A special Thank You to Marilynn Dragone and the religious education staff for all their efforts! Know that the priests, staff, and people of St. Michael’s Parish will always have a special place in my heart. Sincerely, Sr. Virginia Wilkinson 84 Presentation Way New Windsor, NY 12553 P.S.
