Hurdlik’s double-double leads Rangers
Daniel Hudlrik poured in 31
points and added 15 rebounds
to lead the Crosby-Ironton varsity boys’ basketball team to a
74-59 win over Fond du Lac
Ojibwe in the Ranger Classic
Holiday Tournament last
Wednesday.
The Rangers poured in 35
first half points and led by 11
at the break. C-I added 39 second half points in the win.
Noah Gindorff added 16
points and six rebounds for the
Rangers. Hudrlik and Gindorff
tallied 26 first half points.
C-I shot 55 percent from the
floor and added eight of 17
from the free throw line while
Fond du Lac shot 37 percent
from the floor and nine of 13 at
the line.
The Rangers held a slight
35-33 rebounding advantage,
but forced 15 turnovers and
committed just nine in the win.
Sisler won the tournament
with a 3-0 record, while C-I
was second at 2-1.
Hudrlik was named to the
All-Tournament team along
with Sisler’s Daniel Magpantay
and Kirsten Alcantara, Brad
Fossum of Moose Lake/Willow
River and Fond du Lac’s
Jordan Diver.

third in the Pierz Holiday
Tournament.
The Rangers opened with a
65-18 loss to Sauk Centre last

Tuesday to defeat Pierz in
overtime, 49-39.

Boys pound Wadena/
Deer Creek 70-39
The Crosby-Ironton boys’
basketball team got back to the
regular season schedule with a
70-39 win at Wadena/Deer
Creek Friday.
The Rangers poured in a season-high 44 points in the first
half and led by 34 at the break.
C-I added 26 points in the second half of the win.
Trey Jacobs paced the
Rangers with 20 points and
nine rebounds while Daniel
Hudrlik added 16 points, eight
rebounds and seven steals. Jack
Silgen tallied 15 points and
Noah Gindorff added 10 points.
The Rangers shot 49 percent
from the floor and added six of
12 at the free throw line while
holding WDC to 41 percent
from the floor and just three of
five at the line.
C-I forced 24 turnovers in
the win and held a 32-27
rebounding advantage.
The Rangers, 6-4 overall,
played at Pequot Lakes yesterday (Tuesday) and will host
Duluth Marshall Saturday and
Esko Tuesday.
