Suspects knocked down a gate with one of the stolen vehicles to leave the car lot. One of the Jeeps was owned by the business and the other is owned by Jeremy Whitehead. The two Jeeps that were broken into belonged to individuals. Cameras on the property showed three white male suspects. The stolen items are worth $37,000. ♦ SUSPECT ON MOTORCYCLE GIVES UP A 20 year old Cartersville man was arrested after a chase that began in Cedartown Sunday night. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Cedartown Police observed a Yamaha motorcycle speeding excessively. Ga. State Patrol TFC Jeremy Battle spotted the motorcycle on Highway 27 at the Floyd/Polk County line. He followed the motorcycle onto the Rome interchange and continued on Highway 411 into Bartow County. Troopers continued chasing the motorcycle onto Highway 41 north. The suspect stopped his motorcycle and gave up inside the Adairsville City limits at the Dollar General Store. Justin Nicholas Olds, 20, Dunn Rd., Cartersville, is charged with speeding 150 in a 65 mph zone, speeding 125 in a 55 mph zone, reckless driving, fleeing and attempting to elude, and improper passing in a no passing zone. ♦ Indonesia's transport minister said AirAsia Flight 8501 that crashed last month in the Java Sea with 162 people on board climbed about 6,000 feet a minute before it disappeared from radar. He said commercial planes "normally climb just 1,000 to 2,000 feet per minute."
