Fosshotel Hekla, situated close to Mt. Hekla in South Iceland, is surrounded by some
of Iceland’s most stunning sights. Eyjafjallajökull volcano and Fimmvörðuháls are
close by, as well as beautiful hiking trails along the Golden Circle destinations. The
highlands of Landmannalaugar, Kjölur and Sprengisandur are within an easy reach
and – depending on the season and the weather – the area is great for spotting the
spectacular Northern Lights.

Room types
Fosshotel Hekla has 46 comfortable rooms to offer, all of which
are fully equipped with free WiFi, hair dryers, and satellite TV.
The hotel offers Double, Twin, Triple, Single Rooms and Loft
Suites, as well as family Suites which sleep 4-5 people.
All rooms are non-smoking and complimentary coffee and tea
sets are located in the room or in the hallway.
Standard Rooms
Loft Suites
Standard rooms are Single, Double or Twin (10-20 sqm).
Fosshotel Hekla has two beautifully furnished Deluxe rooms with
high ceilings and wooden floors. The rooms are 31 and 35 sqm and
are equipped with a sofa, satellite TV and a desk/work station.
The bathroom has a bathtub and bathrobes and slippers are
complimentary.
There are 3 Single rooms, 20 Double rooms with queen size beds,
plus 14 rooms with twin beds. The rooms are also equipped with a
desk, chairs and a bathroom with a shower.
Triple Rooms
The Triple rooms are 25 sqm, with a bathroom, shower and a
hairdryer. The rooms have a desk and a TV, and some rooms
overlook Mt. Hekla.
Family Suites
The hotel offers three fully equipped Family Suites that sleep 4-5
people. The suites range from 37-42 sqm. Bathrobes and slippers
are complimentary.
Restaurant
Fosshotel Hekla takes pride in the fact that its restaurant only uses the best, local
produce. Farmers deliver their goods straight to Fosshotel Hekla’s on-site
restaurant where it is cooked by highly experienced chefs, creating a delightful
culinary experience.
The hotel caters for all events, from weddings to romantic getaways in Iceland.
The laid back country atmosphere, with a view over Hekla volcano, can make
anyone feel at peace and be one with the surrounding nature.
Meeting rooms
Fosshotel Hekla offers 3 fully equipped meeting rooms for
conferences and events. The main conference room can seat
up to 60 people whilst the two other can accommodate from
15 to 80 people.
