1601 Officers were dispatched to 4516 E. Venetian Way on the report of a found 2 year
old child. Officers found the mother outside crying looking for her child. The officers
determined that the child had just got out of the house while the mother was putting
her other child down for a nap. 15-186
1601 An off-duty Moraine officer was at Meijer when he observed a subject hurrying
away from the store pursued by employees. He observed the subject cross SR741 and
then jump into traffic to stop vehicles. The officer stopped the individual and
discovered that he had stolen meat from the store. Frank Hughes, age 35, was taken
into custody by Miami Twp PD for Theft. 15-197
1658 An officer stopped a vehicle after observing the driver punching himself
repeatedly and swerving on the road. The officer stopped Dedrick Thomas, age 32, and
found that he was driving on a suspended license and had a warrant from Kettering PD.
He was arrested on the warrant. 15-187
1926 Officers responded to Walmart on the report of a shoplifter taking two
computers. The officers found that Michael Thompson, age 29, had stolen over $1700
in merchandise. Upon searching him they found hypodermic syringes, suspected
heroin, and Suboxone. He was charged with Felony Theft, Drug Abuse Instruments and
Felony Possession of Drugs. 15-189

0938 Officers responded to 3654 Sellars Rd on a past occurred burglary. The
complainant stated that they were last at the house on 1/7 and there were three flat
screen televisions in the house. The officers found that the house had no forced entry
and the three televisions were missing. 15-191
1505 Officers took a domestic violence report on post that had occurred at 233 Weisen
Ln. The female alleged that her boyfriend had choked her, kicked her and threatened to
shoot her. She fled the house. Robert Aldrich, age 35, was located and arrested for
Domestic Violence. 15-194

0354 Officers responded to 2311 Ned Dr on the report of a vehicle that crashed into the
tree near the house. The officers found that the driver had fled from the scene. The
owner of the vehicle came in later that night to turn himself in as the driver. Derek
Moore, age 35, was charged with Hit/Skip, DUS and Failure to Control. 15-198
1330 An officer took a vehicle theft report at 2820 Gladstone St. A tan 2001 Chevy
Silverado was taken sometime in the morning. 15-200
1934 An officer made a traffic stop on Central Ave. As he approached the vehicle it fled
NB onto I-75 and got up to speeds over 90mph. Due to the accumulating snow and
danger to the motoring public, the pursuit was terminated. The matter is still under
investigation. 15-204
2049 An officer responded to post to take a protection order violation. The officer
interviewed the complainant who alleged that the suspect had left a signed note on his
vehicle today. The officer found many inconsistencies in the story and discovered that
the alleged victim had written the note himself after finding matching paper in his
vehicle. Dajuan Price, age 39, was arrested for Making False Alarms and taken to jail.

1718 An officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle that had left a suspected drug
apartment. The officer found that the backseat passenger had dumped suspected
heroin, syringes and other paraphernalia in the backseat. The matter is under
investigation. 15-210
2230 Officers and detectives served a search warrant at 3730 Pinnacle Rd. The officers
located a large quantity of heroin and cocaine in the house as well as a load handgun
under a baby crib mattress. Clyde Craver, age 36, was arrested on multiple charges and
taken to the county jail. 15-212

1210 An officer took a report of cut locks at the Storage Inns. The complainant found
five locks cut on the units since yesterday, but nothing was taken. 15-214
1647 An officer and detective responded to the SOIN Medical Center on the report of a
male with a gunshot to his hand. The officers interviewed the male who claimed he
shot himself by accident while near the bikepath at the E. River Boat Ramp. The officers
went to the area and did not find footprints in the area he claimed to have been in. The
suspect gave several more inconsistent statements. After reviewing the case with the
prosecutor, Timothy Rowe, age 30, was charged with Obstructing Official Business and
Falsification. 15-218
1724 Officers responded to the area of Wendy’s after a patient had walked away from
medics trying to treat him. The officers tried to get him to comply but he would not.
The suspected started resisting when he was being handcuffed and he was taken to the
ground. Joshua Jones Jr, age 20, was charged with Disorderly Conduct Persist and
Resisting Arrest. 15-219
1850 An officer took a runaway report on post. The 15 year old male had left for
school, but never showed up. 15-221

1634 An officer responded to 2764 Holman St on a past occurred breaking and
entering. Over the past three months someone had stolen the air conditioner, water
heater and copper plumbing from the vacant house. 15-231
1839 Officers responded to 2674 Cobble Ci on the report of a runaway 13 year old. A
few hours later the juvenile returned and a domestic disturbance was caused. Both
parties were warned. 15-232
