The Boxing Marketing Arm S.A. (BMA) is a company newly established by the International
Boxing Association (AIBA), the IOC recognized international governing body of boxing with
its 196 member federations. It is the exclusive marketing agency that promotes and sells
rights for all AIBA products with the mission to generate marketing success and thereby
support the continuous growth of the sport of Boxing and AIBA.
BMA’s objective is to enhance the commercial values of AIBA’s three major properties and
maximize revenues of all three competition programs:



AIBA Olympic Boxing Programs (AOB)
World Series of Boxing (WSB)
AIBA Professional Boxing (APB
BMA is located at “La Maison du Sport International” in Lausanne, Switzerland.
As a start-up company in an exciting industry, there is much to do and many opportunities to
be seized.
To support our growth, we are currently recruiting a VP Television Sales and Distribution
to join our management team and set up and lead the Television Sales and Distribution
department.
Reporting to the CEO, your key objective will be to develop and execute the long-term
strategy of the department with sustainable and operational excellence. To do so, you will be
expected to:











Achieve target TV sales revenues for all AIBA properties – AIBA Open Boxing, AIBA Pro
Boxing and World Series of Boxing
Develop media sales and distribution strategies for each property
Develop the media business in worldwide markets mainly, North/Latin America, central
& eastern Europe and Asia
Secure and manage TV agencies or partners to sell and distribute TV media rights on
behalf of BMA
Ensure high quality TV production standards by working closely with BMA TV and Event
production for cost effective and high quality production and event operations
Recruit and manage overall performance and co-ordination of all members of TV Sales
and Distribution Department
Develop Digital Media Content strategy and sales targets for all 3 properties
Establish and maintain strong relationships with various broadcast partners and
distributors on the various platforms i.e. TV, Internet, Mobile etc.
Communicate daily with TV partners and various broadcasters to define opportunities in
each market
Maintain and control distribution work in conjunction with sales activities of TV partners
Provide timely and accurate communication, account procedures and reporting.
Our ideal candidate has prior experience of an early stage start-up and is willing to get
involved in a hands-on management position creating company-wide growth over the next

If you have the following skills and experience, then we want to hear from you:






At least 15 years of working experience in sports TV Sales and Distribution industry
Previous experience in sports TV Sales with a broadcaster or an agency would be an
added advantage
Strong existing relationships within sports TV/Broadcaster/Sports Agencies industry
Excellent negotiation, communications, presentation and interpersonal skills in English
Master’s degree preferred in Business, Sports Management or related field
Fluency in English is a must, additional language skills are valued.
