This movie is a Wonderful heartwarming story of a
young 4-year old boy who has an out-of-body experience. While in critical condition, on the operating
table from a ruptured appendix, young Coulton goes
to Heaven, spends time with Jesus, is sung to by angels, and meets people he never knew. This movie
hints to the power of prayer when a large group of
town people come together and pray. When Coulton
is out of danger and at home, he begins to speak of
his experiences. Watch as a small town in Nebraska
has their faith tested.
MARCH4th LIFE FOR LIFE-Maximilian Kolbe
Auschwitz, 1941. One of the prisoners, Jan, escapes
from the German concentration camp while working
at a gravel pit. Thanks to the help of good-hearted
people he finds shelter. There Jan hears tragic news
about ten random inmates sentenced to death by starvation by the Nazis as a punishment for his escape.
One among the convicts is Fr. Maximillian Kolbe, a
Franciscan priest who volunteered to die in place of
one of the inmates. “Life for Life” reflects thoughtfully on what the cult of the saints means for us, on the
nature of hagiography itself. This film explores how
the saints can and should inspire us. Kolbe has been
proclaimed as the “patron saint of the difficult 20th
century”.
MARCH 11th FAUSTINA - A drama on the life
of Blessed Sister Faustina, based upon her experiences recorded in her spiritual diary. She received the
visions of Divine Mercy from Our Lord .

philosophy professor Mr. Radisson’s curriculum is
challenged by his new student, Josh, who believes
God exists. Can he actually prove the existence of
God? Wouldn’t it just be easier just to write “God is
Dead” and put the whole incident behind him? God’s
Not Dead weaves together multiple stories of faith,
doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to
action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire
moviegoers to explore what they really believe about
God, igniting important conversations and lifechanging decisions.
There will be two showings: one at 9:30 A.M. and an
evening showing at 7:30 P.M. All movies will be shown
in the rectory meeting room. Please call the rectory to
reserve your seat!
LENTEN REGULATIONS
With the celebration of Ash Wednesday,
which this year falls on February 18th, we
will once again enter into the grace-filled
season of Lent. Throughout our Lenten
journey, in preparation for the celebration of our Lords
resurrection, we are invited to enter into a more intense
period of prayer, penance and almsgiving. Our Holy
Father, Pope Francis, in his Lenten message to the Universal Church, encourages all of us to enter fully into
this time of spiritual and personal renewal by confronting what he terms he “globalization of indifference.”
God’s love and interest in each one of us does not allow
for indifference, therefore, we cannot be indifferent to
those around us.
ABSTINENCE - All the faithful who have reached 14
years of age are required to abstain from meat on Ash
Wednesday and the Fridays of Lent.
FASTING - All the faithful between the ages of 18 and
59 inclusive are bound to fast on Ash Wednesday and
Good Friday. This practice involves limiting oneself to a
single full meal and avoiding food between meals. Light
sustenance may also be taken on two other occasions
during the day.
EASTER DUTY - After they have been initiated into
the Most Holy Eucharist, all the faithful are bound by
the obligation of receiving Holy Communion at least
once a year. This precept must be fulfilled during the
Easter season, unless for a good reason it is fulfilled at
another time of the year. By special indult, in the United
States, the time period for fulfilling this precept has been
extended to include the period beginning the First Sunday of Lent (Feb. 22, 2015) to Trinity Sunday (May 31,
2015).
Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord: This year
the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord falls on
Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Reconciliation Monday: This year our diocese will
once again celebrate Reconciliation Monday on March
30, 2015, which is the Monday of Holy Week. As in the
past, we hope this will be a wonderful opportunity for
the faithful to participate in this great Sacrament of
Healing.
SPECIAL SECOND COLLECTION
There will be a special second collection for Black
and Indian Missions next weekend. The revenue
from this collection will be used to support the
church’s concern for evangelizing the Black and
Indian people of the United States. The funds are
distributed as grants to dioceses throughout the
United States, supporting and strengthening evangelization programs which otherwise would cease.
Thank you for your continued generosity.
