Invitation to Confession
Post Communion Prayer
The sacrifice of God is a broken spirit; a
broken and contrite heart God will not
despise. Let us come to the Lord, who is full of
compassion, and acknowledge our
transgressions in penitence and faith.
Lord God, you have renewed us with the living
bread from heaven; by it you nourish our faith,
increase our hope, and strengthen our love: teach
us always to hunger for him who is the true and
living bread, and enable us to live by every word
that proceeds from out of your mouth; through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Collect
Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ fasted
forty days in the wilderness, and was tempted
as we are, yet without sin: give us grace to discipline ourselves in obedience to your Spirit;
and, as you know our weakness, so may we
know your power to save; through Jesus
Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and
reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Blessing
Christ give you grace to grow in holiness, to deny
yourselves, take up your cross, and follow him;
and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you and
remain with you always.

LENT 2015
Lent Lunches
We will be having Lent Lunches this year on every Saturday in Lent following a short period of mediation
which will start at 12 noon. This is to be a simple lunch consisting of a choice of TWO soups, Cheddar
cheese, bread and butter. This year we would encourage people to come together to help with this as
individuals rather than a church group.
If you along with others would like to do these lunches please put your names on the date you can do on
the list at back of church.
Lent Study: Images of God
Each Wednesday for 5 weeks in Lent starting on 25th February at 8pm in church.
Come and hear from a range of different speakers ministering in different contexts about their perceptions on ‘Image of God’.
Each session will be held in church at 8pm every Wednesday throughout Lent. The evening will finish with Compline
We are planning a Flower Festival on the week end of July 10th -12th.
If you would like to come and help with the planning (male and female)
I am having a meeting on Wednesday 11th March immediately after the
10.00 a.m. Mass.
We are updating the Sides persons rota, If you would like to be on it, or even if you are
already on this rota, please put your name on the list at the back of church to continue
to be on it in future
