by the glass - EPIC Roasthouse

If you ask us, San Francisco is the greatest place to eat and drink in the entire world.
We are happy to live, work and play here. We’re beyond grateful to have the diverse
bounty of mountains, fertile valleys, the ocean and the forest all available to us, and to
have world-class wine regions like Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and the Central Coast at our
lucky fingertips. These gorgeous vineyards are our backyard and the amazing people that
work in them are our dear friends.
This wine list invites you to our own dinner party with these friends. While the heart and
soul of our list proudly celebrates our California cohorts, we’re also excited to showcase
selections from our peers and inspirations throughout Europe and around the world. We
are all equals at a big, beautiful and convivial table crowded with wonderful wine, food
and friends. All we ask is that you relax, laugh and have a great time sharing in the
abundance. We are honored to have you as our guest and look forward to introducing
you to something delicious and memorable.

We are proud present to our guests, our newly released 2012 bottling of Epic Cabernet Sauvignon. This is the fifth
vintage of Epic Cabernet Sauvignon that has been produced by winemaker Celia Welch, whose portfolio of clients has
included top wineries such as Scarecrow, Corra, Lindstrom, Staglin, and Hartwell. She was named Food & Wine
Magazine's 2008 Winemaker of the Year.
Bright, fresh aromas of blackberry, cherry, anise, vanilla and a touch of sweet cedar waft from the glass.
Undertones of dark caramel and a touch of black tea provide a backbone of complexity to the perfumed fruit aromas.
On the palate, the texture begins broad and silky, with a full, ripe, expansive character in the mid-palate. Notes of
mineral and smoke intertwine with raspberry, plum and savory spices to make an integrated, beautifully complex finish.
This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon combines perfectly ripe, hand-harvested fruit from Pritchard Hill, Rutherford and
Oakville, combined with 3% Oakville Malbec. After a total of sixteen months in French Oak, the wine was bottled in
mid-March 2014 by hand, without fining or filtration by Epic Roasthouse’s team.
A total of 50 cases were produced.
