CHARITY CAMPAIGN
The first principle of our order is charity. This campaign allows our council
to fulfill our mission. However, we can not succeed without you help.
Tickets are being mailed to your home.
The money we receive from the ticket sales is tied to the number of tickets we sell.
If everyone can help and sell at least 3 tickets, it could mean literally thousands of dollars to our council. Let’s pull together as a council. This money is used to help the
charities of our community.
Please note the dates for the First and Second turn in:
APRIL 7, 2015
----
MAY 12, 2015
On April 10 there will be awards for those turning in 100+ tickets. Bring your family and
friends; there will be food and beverages for those who make the turn-in. Thanks for
your support.

Chaplain’s Corner
“Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.” -Mt. 7:7. This verse is one of
the most popular verses in the New Testament, being often quoted and the subject of numerous homilies , not just in our
Catholic Church, but throughout the many and varied non-Catholic denominations of Christianity. And yet, all too often, these words of Jesus
Christ, which are intended to show us the benevolence of God the Father towards us, are given mere “lip service” by us Catholics who are often
reluctant to leave our lives in the hands of God. We try to control every aspect of our lives without giving God a chance to help us. Maybe we
think He is too slow to respond, or maybe we think He doesn’t care, or maybe we think He is simply ignoring us because He is too busy doing
other things. In any case, we shrug our shoulders and try to fix things ourselves, and when we do, we end up in a real mess. Why does this happen? Because we are stubborn, proud, independent, anxiety-driven people who call ourselves Christians and yet are still clueless as to how
much God loves us and how much God can help us if we simply ask Him to do so. The wonder of it all is that God knows we are like we are, He
knows we need His help, and He is always willing to help us. All we need to do is ASK (ask, seek, knock) with a sincere heart and good intentions, and He will always give us what we need, He will help us find what we are looking for, and He will open the doors that need to be
opened to bring us home to Him.
