 Addressing the regulatory environment in clinical research
The boom in clinical research in Africa is increasingly
providing opportunities for business success and
economic and social development.
Industry analysts believe that the African clinical
research market offers distinct advantages such as
reverse seasonality, shared language and culture with
Europe and North America and pharmacologically naïve
populations.
The question then is: Is Africa well-positioned to
draw maximum benefits from this opportunity?
This and other questions will be at the centre of the
discussions at the symposium which will bring together
African experts from industry, government, regional
bodies and universities to debate and discuss global and
local clinical development strategies for moving this
burgeoning industry forward.
The 2-day symposium will debate a series of topics
ranging from global issues to focusing on specific details
of clinical research business and regulation in Africa.
Speakers will focus on relevant issues for the continent
in regulation, pharmaco-economy, and research.
