who leads us in worship this morning. ~
Infant care is available during the service. Please feel free to keep your
little ones with you in church. For the nursery, go through the door at the
front of the sanctuary (right side). Once through, walk to the end of the
corridor where you will see the nursery. Washrooms are available in the
same corridor. Children are invited to attend Faith Finders during the
worship service. Our congregation follows the Presbyterian Church in
Canada Leading with Care policy, which seeks to ensure a “Climate of
Safety for Children, Youth and Vulnerable Adults”.

NEWS FROM THE PEWS – It is with sadness that we announce the recent
passing away of Phyllis Wilson on Monday, April 6th and Mary Moodie on
Tuesday, April 7th (in B.C.) The funeral for Phyllis was held this past Friday at
the Marlatt Funeral Home Chapel in Dundas. The funeral for Mary Moodie
will take place here at Central – date and time to be determined. Please
remember to keep these families in your prayers. Please also continue to keep
Dawn Salemi, Eileen Reynolds, Kay Lumsden, Doris Middleton, Jean
Walker
and
Vivian Latta in your prayers.
FOOD DRIVE – We are continuing to collect donations of non-perishable
food items which will be given through Hamilton Food Share to less fortunate
Hamilton families. Please place any items that you bring in the blue boxes
located at the front entrance in the narthex. A list of “Most Needed Items”
has been posted for your consideration. Thank you in advance for your
donations!
CONGREGATIONAL UP-DATE - The call to the Rev. Dr. J. Gregory
Davidson will be presented to the Presbytery of Hamilton at their regular
meeting on April 14th at 7 pm at the Church of St. John and St. Andrew,
19 Tisdale Avenue North. Members and adherents of the congregation are
welcome to attend this meeting to show their support for the call. If you
have not yet signed the call, please speak with your elder as soon as possible;
Presbytery will be considering the strength of the call based on the
percentage of members who have signed in support.

THE CANCER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM provides free services for
individuals with cancer, living across the greater region of Hamilton. They
presently have a need for more volunteers, particularly volunteer drivers. If

THE STRATA VOCAL ENSEMBLE will present “Encore! Our Tenth
Anniversary Concert” on Sunday, April 19th at 3:00 pm. Featuring
Eric Whitacre’s “Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine”, Vaughan
Williams’ “Three Shakespeare Songs” and Ruth Watson Henderson’s “Song
My Paddle Sings”, plus a healthy dose of Canadian content. Tickets are only

IT’S SPRING CLEANING TIME! On Saturday, April 18th, the
Fellowship Committee is looking for assistance to give the kitchen it's biannual clean up. We all benefit from a clean and organized kitchen, so if you
