We believe that it is impossible to address poverty and injustice in a sustainable way, without strengthening the capacity of citizens to find solutions to their needs and influence decisions that affect their lives. We are looking for a colleague that can lead in our capacity development work to ensure individual employees and organizations as a whole are able to do their jobs and develop themselves professionally; improve the quality of our programmes and campaigns; and contribute to strengthening the ability of civil society partners to reach their goals. Main tasks Help develop and roll out an assessment tool on capacity building based on already existing tools (for example 5C and Ramon) Develop and implement a Capacity Development agenda based on the needs of Oxfam staff and partner organizations. Build upon the existing capacity building work within our programmes and campaigns. Responsible for the implementation of the approach, the use of instruments, sharing of results, training of colleagues. Fundraising for further resources to build the capacity building agenda. Analyse what is effectively working and not working within the capacity development trajectory. Document lessons learned and share within the wider Oxfam. You have - An academic degree in a relevant field such as international development, political sciences, humanities or social sciences, etc. - Experience in capacity building; coaching and delivering training at an individual and group level; Information management and IT skills with a good attention to detail; Strong numeracy and financial skills, particularly in developing budgets, financial management/monitoring and reporting; Good written skills with proven ability to develop and present proposals and donor reports, for both internal and external audiences; High level of analytical skills and critical thinking; The ability to work effectively with others influencing, supporting, following as required within an international and dynamic work environment; The ability to network and represent Oxfam to donors and external institutions; The ability to manage his/her time effectively. Willing and able to adapt priorities in order to respond to changing demands; Marketing qualification or relevant; A broad understanding of INGO programming and donor relations; Knowledge and experiences of Oxfam’s Program Work and systems; The willingness to travel. Understanding of local community and areas – and local Language is preferred Fluent written and spoken English and Urdu. Knowledge of languages will be an added advantage.
