Msgr. Charles A. Guarino Thomas Palmieri The Rectory Office will be closed Thursday, May 14th Page 1 From the Pastor’s Desk As the wreath of flowers was placed upon the head of the statue of Our Blessed Mother during this week’s May crowning ceremonies, I couldn’t help but think of the many other “hats” Mary wears for us. She intercedes for us before the Lord to obtain for us the graces we need as we continue on our journey of faith. She stands beside us as an example of faith as we strive each day to make the will of God our own. I’m sure we can all call to mind many times and ways that we have turned to our Blessed Mother and have been comforted by the knowledge that our prayers of intercession have been heard. It is most fitting as we continue our observance of Mary’s love for us during the month of May to take the time this weekend to honor all those women who have loved us with a love like that of Mary herself. Our parish family extends prayers of thanks and words of gratitude to our mothers and grandmothers, to our godmothers and all of those who have loved us with a mother’s love. On this Mother’s Day, we wish to thank you for the many “hats” you so generously wear for us. We appreciate the many sacrifices you make as you go out of your way to be there for us in just the way we need you to be there for us the most. We pray that Almighty God, through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, will continue to bless you for all that you do for us.
