Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, all for the Sorrowful

pray that the Blessed Mother wrap her mantle around your
priests, and through her intercession strengthen them for

own words, “Do whatever He tells you.” (Jn 2:5) May your priests be

From the Pastor’s Desk
As the wreath of flowers was placed upon the head of the statue of Our Blessed
Mother during this week’s May crowning ceremonies, I couldn’t help but think of the many
other “hats” Mary wears for us. She intercedes for us before the Lord to obtain for us the
graces we need as we continue on our journey of faith. She stands beside us as an example
of faith as we strive each day to make the will of God our own. I’m sure we can all call to
mind many times and ways that we have turned to our Blessed Mother and have been comforted by the knowledge that our prayers of intercession have been heard.
It is most fitting as we continue our observance of Mary’s love for us during the
month of May to take the time this weekend to honor all those women who have loved us
with a love like that of Mary herself. Our parish family extends prayers of thanks and
words of gratitude to our mothers and grandmothers, to our godmothers and all of those
who have loved us with a mother’s love.
On this Mother’s Day, we wish to thank you for the many “hats” you so generously
wear for us. We appreciate the many sacrifices you make as you go out of your way to be
there for us in just the way we need you to be there for us the most. We pray that Almighty God, through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, will continue to bless you for
all that you do for us.
Peace,
Father Frank

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask
the Father, and He will give you another advocate to
help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.
The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees
Him nor knows Him; you know Him, for He dwells
with you and will be in you”.
John 14:15-17
Thursday, May 14th we celebrate the
Feast of the Ascension. Sunday, May 24

Mary, Dearest Mother up above, Virgin, you gave us a gift of Love
Mary, gazing down from Heaven afar, On your head a crown of many stars.
When we are in need of consolation, We come to you in prayer and mediation,
You are the one we ask to intercede, To God, for all the help that we so need.
Mary, shining light, you are my guide, Ever, in my thoughts do you abide.
Mary, I hope to gaze on your face, Someday, in your holy dwelling place.
Mary, Dearest Mother.

Bulletin Reflection
Jesus’ commandment is that His disciples love one another,
even to the point of laying down their lives, if necessary.
What gifts of myself—my skills and talents, my time and resources—will best demonstrate my love for God’s people?

offertory procession at the Mass which you attend. This may
