AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leader
Position Summary:
Benton Habitat for Humanity is expanding its Home Repair Initiative (HRI) and Brush with
Kindness (ABWK) program and is recruiting for an AmeriCorps member to facilitate the
expansion beginning on September 14, 2015, and lasting for 46.5 weeks.
Benton Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to bring people together to build decent, affordable
homes for everyone in our community. In addition to new home construction, the organization
recently launched the Home Repair Initiative, a program that provides essential home repairs to
families and individuals who are unable to afford the high cost of labor and materials. Using
volunteer labor, Benton Habitat helps homeowners stay in their home longer and ultimately
increases their safety and wellbeing. A Brush with Kindness brings volunteers out to paint and
repair the exterior of a home for low-income families and individuals.
This position will entail community collaboration, volunteer coordination and supervision,

and individuals in Benton County. The member will be critical in helping meet these goals
through planning, coordination, and implementation of projects in partnership with our Home
Repair Committee and construction team.
