At The Brick, we will do everything possible to make sure that it is all that you expect it to be and we will do as much as you want us to do to assist you. Our theory is that this is your day and your focus should be on you, not on the logistics of your wedding day. But we also realize that some brides just need to be very involved from beginning to end. So, it is ultimately your choice – we will do as much or as little as you want us to do! Below is a sampling of the services offered and included for all wedding ceremonies and/or receptions. Complete wedding coordination: Menu development, venue set-up, bridal party preparation and lineup, working with photographers, florists, entertainers, etc. Set Up: All setup of the venue, including linens (unless custom required), table layout, placement of centerpieces and table/room decorations Guest Welcome: Staff to meet, greet and direct guests Bride & Groom Reception Attendant: Staff member specifically assigned to the bride and groom Breakdown: Removal of all centerpieces, table favors, etc., for later pickup Photographs: Emailed copies of all candid shots taken by The Brick’s staff OTHER Wedding Officiant: Owner Lynn Lester is licensed to perform marriage ceremonies. Compensation for officiating the wedding ceremony is at the discretion of the bride and groom. Lodging: Lodging: Unique to most event venues, The Brick also has 14 boutique-style guest rooms. When the wedding and/or reception are held at The Brick, a 10% lodging discount is extended to all wedding guests, and a special 15% discount is extended to our brides & grooms. (Discounts may not be applicable on holidays or special event dates, and may not be combined with other offers.) Event lodging discounts must be arranged for in advance with the Innkeeper. Your Wedding Reception Menus Menus You will enjoy working directly with our chef to determine and/or modify the menu that will work best for you. We pride ourselves in being able to offer something for everyone, so are always willing to customize menus and accommodate dietary restrictions. To ensure proper and prompt service, a pre-set menu is required for all groups dining in one of The Brick’s beautiful private dining rooms. We are always willing to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Whenever practical, we request that wedding guests be asked to indicate their entrée choices when they RSVP. In order to provide our patrons with the freshest of product, the menus included are subject to change due to product availability and seasonal menu changes. You will find that only plated options are included -- and that is on purpose. We prefer to offer each and every one of our guests very personalized service and attention, and experience tells us that our guests – especially for special occasions – enjoy being waited on. However, plated menus are not the answer to every event. Depending on the number of guests, event timeframe, set-up, etc., buffet meals may certainly be more functional and appropriate, and we are happy to provide buffet options for consideration. However, contrary to what most people think, there is very little (if any) cost differential between a plated dinner, buffet or hors d’oeuvres reception. So for budget purposes, you should use the pricing on the plated options. Pricing Our menu prices are guaranteed for six (6) months from the date of contract signing. Beyond that, we do offer a guarantee that any increase will not exceed 15% of the quoted prices. Alcoholic Beverages This is any easy one -- your initial decision is whether or not to provide your guests with alcoholic beverages! Should you choose do so, we will work with you to offer what is most appropriate, and the options are pretty open-ended. 1) Open Bar: We are more than happy to provide a totally open-ended bar. But it only took one surprised Father of the Bride (when he received a very large tab at the end of the night!) for us to begin recommending that a bar budget be established. Our staff then tracks the sales and when the limit is close to being reached, you (or hopefully someone you have designated) make the decision to continue or discontinue bar service. This totally eliminates any surprises at the end of the reception. It is possible to place restrictions on open bar offerings, i.e., beer & wine only, beer, wine & rail liquors, etc. 2) Cash Bar: When you are not offering alcoholic beverages to your guests, please include on your invitations a cash bar notation. You don’t want your guests to be surprised or upset when they receive a bill for the alcoholic beverages they have enjoyed (and assumed you were paying for). Please note that non-alcoholic beverages are included in dinner packages. Upon conclusion of dinner (during the reception activities) and for cocktail-style receptions, non-alcoholic beverages are not included and are payable based upon consumption or according to the non-alcoholic beverage package (priced per person). The fee for an Event Bartender is $100. We recommend one (1) bartender for up to 80 people; more than that requires at least two (2) bartenders. Guarantee At least ten (10) days prior to the event date, the final number of attendees must be submitted to The Brick staff; this will be the guaranteed number, and you will be responsible for this number, or the actual number of attendees, whichever is greater. If the party exceeds the guaranteed number and is greater than 10%, every effort will be made to accommodate the guests. We cannot, however, guarantee the availability of seating and/or menu items. In some cases, a minimum revenue requirement instead of a minimum guest count may apply to your function. This revenue requirement must be met regardless of a drop in the proposed guest count. A 50% deposit is required for parties with a minimum revenue requirement. Deposit & Payment An Event Contract must be signed and returned as confirmation of the venue rental. Reservations are not final until this contract and the room rental fee are received. • The venue rental fee is payable in full at the time of booking. • A 25% catering deposit is due prior to the event on the date specified in the Contract. • The balance will be due immediately upon conclusion of the event. The Brick can provide separate bills for beverages and for food, but cannot provide any additional separate checks. Payments can be by cash, check or credit card. All major credit cards are accepted, excluding American Express. Service Charge For all group events, a 20% Gratuity/Service Charge will be added to the final catering bill. Wedding Venue Rental Rates The appropriate venue will be totally dependent on the number on your guest list. Our options are listed below with the maximum occupancy noted ( ). We obviously cannot guarantee weather, and indoor accommodations can only be guaranteed with a multiple venue booking. Be it for weather or guest accommodation purposes, a 10% discount is offered with the booking of multiple venues. With these receptions, there is limited seating as determined for the event, and our professional staff butlers many of the hors d’oeuvres. This simply means that we pass them among the guests (rather than sitting them out) which serves two purposes. First, it insures that the items being served remain hot and fresh, and secondly, we can monitor the food intake so that the menu choices, perhaps, may last longer. We customize each and every Cocktail Reception so there is no fixed price sample. Our Chef will develop a menu that will meet the group’s needs, and will include food types that your guests will enjoy! Customized Your Celebration! Be it a breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktail reception, we have a long list of delicious menu items that can be chosen for a customized menu.
