St Luke’s Church, Wine, Cheese and Organ Evenings
Thursdays 11 & 18 June 2015 7.30-9.30pm
The 110 year old pipe organ in St Luke’s Church, Phipps Hatch Lane, is being renovated and preserved. In June, two Wine,
Cheese and Organ evenings will take place for people to see, learn about and hear our ‘King of Instruments’.
Each evening will include…...
 How pipe organs work - An interactive and visual explanation of the components of pipe organs and how they work.
 Restoring the organ - The organ builder will explain how he renovated and restored the organ.
 Listen to the restored organ - Members of the Enfield and District Organists Association will play the organ.
 Viewing the History of the Area – An opportunity to explore an exhibition about the history of Clay Hill parish and
surrounding area since the mid-1850s.
Admission to each evening is FREE, although any donations to St Luke’s Organ Fund will be gratefully received.
