7 April 2015 UPDATED: TEMPORARY CLOSURE Berkshire Rd between Roe Hwy and Harrison Rd 7pm, Wednesday 15 until 5am, Monday 20 April 2015 The Roe Highway / Berkshire Road intersection is being upgraded to a grade separated interchange, where Roe Highway traffic will travel over the top of Berkshire Road, allowing a free-flow free flow movement. To continue continu to progress the upgrade of this intersection, the existing isting intersection and sections of Roe Highway must be temporarily realigned to the north (towards the industrial area), opening up more work area to allow the bridge construction to start. In order to safely complete the construction of the new temporary Roe Highway / Berkshire Road intersection and realign traffic, the full closure of Berkshire Road is required. This closure has been rescheduled due to wet weather. The work is subject to weather and site conditions, which may result in changes to this schedule. In the event of changes, updated information will be available availab on the project website. Berkshire Road between Roe Highway and Harrison Road will be closed to all traffic from 7pm, Wednesday 15 April until 5am, Monday 20 April 2015. Enclosed are maps and sketches showing the location of this closure and detour routes. Local traffic will be permitted access to Ashby Close during this closure via the detour routes. Signage will be in place to guide road users through the detour route to complete their journey during this closure. Road users are encouraged to plan their journey and allow extra time when travelling through the area. To further support the completion of the temporary intersection, Roe Highway between Tonkin Highway and Great Eastern Highway Bypass will also be closed from 7pm, Friday 17 April until 5am, Monday 20 April 2015.
